We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable, quiet and clean apartment. It is well located, right next to underground and tram, so you can reach the center easily. If you want to relax Donauinsel is in walking distance.
Roman is very nice and so we could arrange the handover of keys rather flexible.
We stayed in Monika as Erika had been sold. Good location one block from tram and supermarket and shops. Apartment fifth floor with lift. Prompt efficient check in. Ask to be shown how to unlock the door, it is very specific. Unfortunately I had to clean the bathroom myself as previous guests' hair and slimy ring around bath tub, but apart from that all was good. Parking is 15 mins walk away I. A less salubrious part of town , but once parked forget about the car and enjoy Vienna. I would stay again in apartment Monika.
The apartment was spacious and tidy. There was free parking available on the street in front of the building which was a bonus. Although it was outside the city centre, it was quite easy to get to by train, which was about a 5 minute walk away.
Roman was away during our stay and communication was slow. The person who met us to let us in the apartment spoke very little English. Although wireless internet is advertised, there was no information about how to access it. When we contacted Roman, he indicated a mobile internet stick was available "on demand". Although he said the maid would drop it off at our apartment, we did not recieve it. Laundry is also supposed to be included, but it is not in the apartment. Roman indicated there was a coin operated washing machine in the cellar. Although he thought there would be coins for using the washer in a drawer in the apartment, we did not find any. Having chosen the apartment in part because of these amenities, it was irritating to not be able to use them and to have such slow responses from Roman.
City Apartment Erika was a very pleasant stay. The apartment is roomie, homey and well equipped. Roman was a personable and very helpful host. He gave us suggestions, advice and provided us with brochures about things to do in Vienna.
This place is a real bargain for a stay in Vienna. While it is out of the heart of Vienna, it is super easy to get to, a five minute walk from a tram/metro station.
