Perfect stay, good value for price! Nice spacy room and bathroom, good western breakfast with wonderful fresh juice, incredibly friendly and helpful family. Staying here made our Toraja visit complete! Yakobus speaks perfect English, gave good recommendations about the region
Jakob and his family are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The house is conveniently located in the centre of town close to good restaurants, shops and laundry service. I would highly recommend staying here. Our boys (6 and 8 years old) especially enjoyed playing football with the local children on the field opposite the house.
We have been in Panorama Homestay 2 nights but 4 complete days in Rantepao. Yakobus was very kind since the moment we have arrived to his homestay.
All the house was very clean and our room was perfect, exactly the same as you can see at the photos.
We especialy recommend this homestay because Panorama was more than a place to sleep, was a very great expericence because of the friendly family of Yakobus, and his knowledge of Toraja region.
Rantepao is the best place to stay while visiting Toraja and Panorama Homestay is probably the best accommodation option in Rantepao. I just spent 3 nights there and really enjoyed it. The homestay has a great location right in front of the town's soccer field and very close to the main road.
The room is spacious, clean, comfortable and too good to be true! Once I saw the room, I was so surprised about the price; I didn't expect it to be so nice. The room has the most comfortable bed I've had in 11 months of travel around Asia. The bathroom has a tub and hot water. There is also WiFi at a decent speed, which is not very common in the area.
The breakfast is delicious, consisting of bread with several kinds of jam, egg and coffee. The best part about this homestay was getting to know Yacobus and his family. He was such a great host; I can't thank him enough for all the help he gave us. He is local and also an experienced tour guide, so he gave us good advice about places to go, recommended schedules, helped us rent a motorbike and spoke to us about Toraja, I can't recommend him enough. We booked through him a tour to one of the funerals, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience!
Thank you Yacobus for everything!
