  • Wonderful house set in a ECO friendly gated community. The name lives up to the quality experience. In fact the pictures don't do the house justice.

To get to the house we opted for a taxi service recommended by Brij that cost Rs 1,600 and took just over an hour and a half. The room is tastefully furnished and the bathroom is spacious with a walk in wardrobe. The upstairs lounge is perfect to unwind or you can use any of the two spacious terraces that lead off from the lounge - perfect for relaxing and chilling out in the sunshine. The place is very quiet and in the early hours of the morning you experience a symphony of natures birds and creatures. The bathroom water is heated by solar panels and provided warm water to shower, the system can also be heated using electricity for pipping hot water if needed.

A 15 min walk leads you to the Ravi Shankar Ashram where there is a great Ayurvedic health centre, I opted for the head and foot massage of Rs 1,200. There is a Ayurvedic cafe which serves a whole thali for on Rs 150!!!. There is an Ayurvedic store also. All this set along a small lake. If you have time do go and visit the Tamarind Tree. The Ashram has a lovely feel and not fanatical in any way.

Brij was a brilliant host and supplied lunch and dinner on a usage basis which was very fair indeed. The place is cleaned daily and we stayed for 6 nights.

Brij supplied 4G wifi which was great for checking emails and browsing.

Its the perfect place to unwind with a great host. Will be back soon I hope.

  • I will give Brij and his beautiful house my varmest recommendations. After some busy days in the city, Bangalore, it was a bless to stay in peace- and beautyful surroundings - with a swimmingpool! Coming from Europe, I enjoyed living among tropical trees – papaya, banana, mango and lots of others. As we went for breakfast at the art of living asram nearby, we crossed a coconutplant
Brij is a great host, who makes you feel very welcome, shows you around and helps you in any way. You'll feel immediately comfortable as a guest. The house itself is gracious, filled with character build in old colonial style. There are comfortable common spaces, three terasses and the kitchen functions well as a communal space. Everything is kept meticulously clean and the house is bright and airy. And what I found especially exotic: Every day 3 maids come from the local village, walking quietly arround in their adorable sahris cleaning the house, cooking, and doing the gardening.

  • Brij is a great host. He made all the arrangements for us without even being there.
His house is gorgeous and very inviting. I am still in awe of how close the place is to the city but yet far away. The community is lush green and makes for a lovely evening stroll. His house is at the end of the road and overlooks a lake, with the terrace and the deck overlooking it.
Brij's home is beautiful, spacious with earthly tones all over. (The shower in the master bedroom is my absolute favorite!!) The kitchen is fully functional which lets you stay in for as long as you want.

I would definitely recommend his place to travelers looking for peace and quiet; right around the city.

About
We are ex-hoteliers with a taste or all things organic and wholesome. We have crafted our house to reflect our values. We are in our late thirties and are well travelled in India and abroad including a 2 year stint in China and are happy to share our experience for any guidance required. We've both had a host of pets in the past and are truly animal people and our house is pet friendly as well. The home is also available for long term rental (partial or full occupancy) and we look forward inquiries on the same.
