This is a unique and beautiful property. One of the owners even brought us great bananas that he cut of one of his many trees. The property is 5 acres and feels wonderfully spacious even though our cabin was small. Maybe not so great for serious cooking, but we managed some good meals.

This place is truly a one of a kind gem very close to beaches and old Koloa town but still away from it all. The setting is beautiful in the middle of a huge beautiful garden. The hosts are wonderful.

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for what we needed and was close to the good beaches and restaurants on the south shore. It’s kind of like a tropical cabin - much of the home is screened so you feel like you’re outside even when inside, which is nice when you have the lovely Hawaii weather! The front part of the home has plenty of seating for lounging, a big kitchen area and a pool/ping pong table. The bedroom is large, the bathroom is nice, and the outdoor shower is fun. Outside you have a picnic table, fire pit, lounge chairs and a hammock. The home was well stocked with towels, toiletries, and all sorts of supplies you wouldn’t even think you need. We liked that the home was in a quiet, private area so it felt like you were in your own tropical paradise. Michele was a great host and easy to work with. We highly recommend staying here!

Michelle and Kerry are wonderful hosts and were always there to assist us in any way. Michele always met us with a big smile on her face and she was so sweet. The cottage is exactly as advertised. The location is within a few minutes to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach...two of the nicest beaches on the island. The weather here is the best on the island due to being on the "dry" and sunny side. Also, it is within a few minutes to some wonderful restaurants and shopping. We loved every minute of our stay and would like to return again as soon as we can!

Michele and Kerry are such wonderful hosts. The cottage is beautiful, rustic, alive, calm, colorful - all that. The screened in living room is such a wonderful place to prepare for the day, or relax after a day of activities. Just some small touches that made us feel relaxed, in a special place, and wanting to stay there again. So close to Poipu beach, while not in the midst of all the tourist area. Thank you so much!

Michele met us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. She was great to give us recommendations of restaurants and things to do. The kitchen was well stocked , also had beach chairs, beach towels. It was very clean, bed was comfortable. Really charming place as well.

This property is a fabulous alternative to the clinical hotels of south Kauai, and a great base to explore the wailua river (30mins) and waimea canyon (1 hr) as well as being minutes away from the beaches of poipu. The pictures don't do this place justice -- it's really spacious and comfortable. The large garden is shared with Michele's house and a few others but the property feels very private. We enjoyed the outdoorsy kitchen / living room a lot and the bed was very comfy. The only very slight negative was the combination of road / chickens / water system can be a bit noisy but we slept great despite this. Overall would strongly recommend to anyone who wants a more private outdoors feeling place for exploring the island.

Our family has been on Kauai since 1992. We call the island HOME, and are blessed to have all of our 3 children and 8 grandchildren here with us. Ho'omoana is the name of our family compound. We look forward to meeting people from all over the world, trade travel stories and help make your visit to Kauai the best it can be.
