This historic Westside home has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Bend. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the Westside, we are a short walk from miles of beautiful trails along the tranquil Deschutes river to the North and charming Downtown Bend to the South.
The room is in the finished basement area of the house and has a private entrance from the back yard. It is cozy and clean with a queen size bed, maps on the wall to get you out and about, and a TV with a dvd player and a collection of choice movies. The bathroom is kept clean and well stocked and is shared with one other room.
Three of us currently live in the house. You will have access to our shared kitchen and a sunny living area for relaxing. Outside we have a flourishing vegetable garden and a few chickens roaming through the backyard (don't worry, no roosters to wake you at 5 am).
We are all very respectful of the privacy of the guest if you are looking for peace and quiet. That said, I am always willing to share a pot of tea and chat with a guest!
A note on check in time. Check in is often available earlier than 5:00 pm except for days when I work and the room is booked back to back.

Our stay at andys and in bend was amazing. Andy and his room mates were welcoming and pleasant. We loved the room, it was perfect for riding our bikes to downtown and had a great relaxed feel. All was as Andy described it. The chickens were actually quite pleasant. Everything was very clean
Andy's pad was the perfect spot for our Bend adventure. We were within a half hour drive from rock climbing at Smith Rock and only a few blocks walk to downtown for beer and great food. The bed was big and comfy and the house was clean and felt like home. Andy is a super chill dude and he was very helpful with suggestions whenever we needed it. I'd come back anytime.
I had a really nice stay, my bed was very comfortable, the room was small but nice, and the house is in a perfect location. Andy, my host was friendly, but we didn't see each other very often, because of our schedules. I recommend staying here.
Andy is the quintessential host, especially for those who like to leave a light environmental footprint and eat delicious local food. I stayed a month in this cozy room while I looked for a more permanent living situation and new job in Bend, and this was the perfect place to do it. Andy and his roommates made me feel immediately welcome and I felt like I was part of the household. I was treated to homemade hard cider and elk that Andy hunted himself. I also cannot emphasize how great the location is... walking distance to downtown and biking distance to just about everything, including the amazing network of mountain biking trails! This place is perfect for bohemian DIY types looking for a homey place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and it was nice to have our own entrance.
The house is very conveniently located to downtown and to the river...
you can walk easily to either...
Andy was out of town during our stay so his roommate let us in and she was very hospitable and pleasant.
We would highly recommend Andy's place and we hope to stay there again.
Andy was a great host. The house was in a perfect location for me and it was a nice quiet place to unwind after hiking, biking or whatever activity filled the day. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bend.
This room's in a great location close to food, brew, and a trail to run or walk on. Andy's a super nice guy who shared wild mushrooms he had harvested with us. I would stay here again.
Cute little room with private entrance. Andy was more than accommodating and let us check in early. With such a great location we brought our bikes and went everywhere in town easily.
We stayed with Andy for 3 weeks while in Bend. Perfect location just out of downtown made for easy walks to town and breweries. Andy is a great host and very hospitable, we felt right at home. We enjoyed many mornings on the porch and walking along the river near his house as well as the chickens in the back yard. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend!
We loved staying here so much! My boyfriend and I went to Bend for a little getaway from Portland for the weekend, and we really felt like we were at our home away from home. Super cozy, clean and hospitable; Andy even put out homemade soap for us to use! We loved the homey atmosphere, the perfect location by downtown AND the river (and what a good price for the locale!), and the super friendly host. It was perfect!
