Liz was very friendly, warm and welcoming. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast magnificent. Thank you!
Staying with Liz and Roger was great! The room was very clean and cozy. Liz was so great to talk to and served such wonderful breakfasts. We would most certainly stay here again.
Liz was very welcoming, friendly host.
Our hosts made us extremely welcome - virtually with open arms and we had a guided tour of the garden and menagerie before entering the house where we were given a welcoming cup of tea and delicious goodies. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were made to feel completely at home and could make ourselves tea etc in the dining room if wanted. The highlight of the stay was Liz and Roger's love of pet animals which included a duckling she rescued and raised raised from an egg! We had eggs from their chickens and watched the antics of the two ducks who lived in the greenhouse plus the two dogs who were very friendly and quiet. Both our friend who was staying with us and ourselves thoroughly to all too brief stay and would certainly recommend this B&B for their open friendliness and relaxing atmosphere.
Liz and Roger made us feel very welcome and a part of their lives. The room was clean, spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. They provided maps, directions and advice on what to see and to in the Hadrian's Wall region. Liz and Roger provided a great B&B experience which we highly recommend.
Dea and I were there for three days. Lovely house with nice room ensuite, slept vere well. Coffee and tea were always there. We should say: with a full continental breakfast, super and enough. We loved Liz and her husband, very helpfull and friendly people with a good chat too! Should like to come back and advise our friends to stayvwith them.
Great hosts and a great place to stay - even before we'd left home, Liz was in touch with excellent directions of how to find her house and news on what was happening locally.
And when we arrived, welcomed first by a couple of friendly dogs, we were immediately shown the family's latest pet: Eric, a duckling hatched only that morning (and seemingly abandoned by its mum) in a box, carefully wrapped with a mini-blanket and straw to keep it warm. That's how we were treated, too!
Really, nothing was too much trouble - nice room, our own sitting room (much better than being stuck in one's bedroom), comfortable bed and super breakfast.
Liz and Roger are a super, chatty couple - and if you like cars, Roger's a bit of a petrol head!
