Our rustic 2 bedroom, 1 bath mud adobe Casita in Barrio Viejo is walking distance from the Convention Center, theaters, museums and downtown restaurants. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Tucson, and those early years can still be seen here.
On entry to our rustic adobe casita you will find brick floors and saguaro rib ceilings. The 15" thick mud adobe walls are brightly painted in yellows, reds, blues and greens. On the walls are original art by artists from Bisbee, Arizona. Most religious art is from the area around Chimayo, New Mexico. The sturdy furniture is Mexican made of natural woods, leather and iron. The Mexican tiled kitchen has a gas range, toaster, coffee maker, dishware, pots, pans and other utensils. Bedroom 1 in the front of the house has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 in the back of the house has a king bed. Through the laundry is the fenced backyard that includes a tree shaded brick patio, table, BBQ, fire pit and seating.
Wi-Fi, cable TV, towels and sheets are provided. Washer and dryer are onsite.
Street parking only.
Guests have whole house and yard access.
When renting both our Casita and our Bungalow the gate between them can be unlocked to allow access to both back yards.

Other things to note
This is an older rustic home and yard. The floor and patio are uneven and include a variety of levels. Please take care when walking. The home is on the bus route - so buses can be heard through our vintage windows. Also, it is convenient to I-10 so some freeway noise is notable from the back yard.
I also own the yellow Bungalow next door. A gate in the backyard fence can be unlocked to provide access between the houses for larger groups traveling together.

I grew up in Tucson and still enjoy staying in my vacation homes there. I recently retired from health care technology advising / consulting. My work took me to many communities nationwide and provided me opportunity to visit Mexico and several European countries (love Italy and Mazatlán).
I host two homes in Tucson's Barrio Viejo. I'm happy to learn about my guests and why they are visiting. I'm usually available by phone and messaging, but pretty much leave guests alone during their stays.
I now live in the mountains just outside of Bisbee, AZ where I have settled down a bit to learn new things about myself and the world around me.
I like sharing great meals and conversations with friends and family. My favorite movies and books are mysteries, historical fiction and action adventure tales. I enjoy live music especially when its outdoors and attend Bisbee Side Pony Express, Bisbee Blues Festival, Tucson Jazz Fest and the Tucson Folk Festival. I've also made it to the Telluride Blues Festival a few times as well as South by Southwest in Austin, TX. I love doing all of this with Paul.
