We loved staying in Mk's apartment--the location was convenient and the apartment itself was (website hidden) communicated efficiently with us beforehand so everything was clear and easy!
One thing I would say is pack some earplugs because the train and Atlantic street were very loud at night. Also if light bothers you, bring something to cover your eyes because the curtains didn't block out light very well.
All in all though, we felt that the apartment was a great deal and we would definitely stay again.
Great apt. The location is a little dodgy, so be wise. A little loud, as it is near the train but great value and I would consider staying again.
Mk Kalinoski has been a very good host ! It was very nice to stay there, his instructions were very accurate and clear, everything was clean, working properly, and ready when we arrived, the appartment is very charming and pleasant. The subway is very close by, which is nice but the counterpart is the noise... Which is not such a big inconvenient if you have a deep sleep like me :D
I do recommand the place. Oh... I must say that the coffee was DELICIOUS ! Keep the same.
Nice stay in Mk's appartment. Easy and fast communication. The flat was clean and convenient, easy access to the train, located between Manhattan and the airport.
Really great (website hidden) has done a FANTASTIC job with the interior design & decoration, and he's really thought of everything you might need: even down to the details like converter kits for international travelers (which I wasn't; I just noticed it). Mk is also very efficient about getting you in.
The neighborhood itself is gentrifying. If you're up for Upper East Side luxury this is not the neighborhood for you, But it is remarkably convenient: a sort walk to the Nostrand A train, which is express, and it is literally three stops from Manhattan. Also, there's a Long Island Railroad stop 1 block away.
The apartment is really comfortable. The bed is better than my own at home.
I want to hire Mk as my own personal design consultant!!
Beautiful, clean, spacious studio - and yes, it's exactly like the photos!. It's a little difficult to find but Mk gave detailed instructions and I checked with (website hidden) street view before I arrived so I didn't have any problems. I had to give it 4 stars only because it's not an ideal location. The train stops were a little further than I had anticipated and it's not exactly a friendly neighborhood. Use the car service he lists, there are zero cabs that drive by and you won't be able to hail one. But aside from the location the unit itself was perfection!
The place is really cute, way larger than I thought, a short walk to the metro stop. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has what you need to make breakfast or a quick meal. The area seems pretty safe even at night, there isn't much around there though. The trains didn't bother us, but traffic can go on until late at night and start early in the morning. Overall it was a good experience.
The apartment was incredible and (website hidden) was very responsive and helpful for instance when my folks didn't know how to use the apple tv. The only complaint I had was the ice out front was pretty bad, though the frequency of snow storms has been terrible.
This is a great little getaway spot! Everything is as it seems in the profile. Anyone looking for a convenient place that has all the necessities and is stylish would do right by staying here. Thanks again!
Good place. Clean, nicely renovated and all you need really. Only complaint the place was very noisy (right next to train track).
