We live in an awesome area on the border of Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy Brooklyn: trendy, lively, and with great access to all transport. The brownstone is located in an area with many restaurants, cafes and parks, and all within walking distance. The room available for rent is freshly decorated, and has its own bathroom and large closet. Your space is cozy, comfortable and clean just waiting for you.
The house is really in the heart of Brooklyn. We are a fifteen minute ride to Manhattan, 30 minutes to Times Square, and 5 minutes to Williamsburg for art, music, restaurants, and cafes; the new Barclay's Center for sports and music events; the Brooklyn Academy of Music for theater, and the Brooklyn Museum are all at your feet.

Really love the time we were in the house! Wendy and Kevin are adorable and very discreet. Left us very comfortable during our stay. The room is exactly as good as it looks in the photos. It's big, beautiful and clean! Cable TV, bathroom, bed, everything perfect. The house is old and charming. There is a kitchen we could use but we ended up not having time to meet. The neighborhood is quiet and silent most of the time and the subway is three blocks and a half away. We felt safe to walk back late at night. It's already indicated to a friend that will come to New York early next year ...
We loved Wendy's and Kevin's place! The room is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated and we loved coming back there after a busy day in the city. Wendy and Kevin are great hosts, they made us feel welcome and were always available for questions. Thanks again, we had a perfect time!
We had a great time in Wendy and Kevin's house. It's near a subway station of the G line (about 10 min walking). The room is located in the second floor and is a big room, with a nice private and clean bathroom. We had full access to the kitchen and could cook and store our stuff on the fridge, what is a plus.
The neighborhood doesn't look unsafe, but you have to get used to it. We didn't have any problem coming back late (until 11pm).
The neighbors like to chat really loud in the streets until midnight (sometimes even later). So that can be a problem if you are a light sleeper because they are loud! This wasn't a problem for us, we were tired and that didn't bother us.
Wendy was really kind, helped us in more than one situation, I can't thank her more.
If you need a place near public transportation and don't want to pay high money don't think twice. I hope you love the room as much as we did!
Our hosts, Wendy and Kevin, made us feel very welcome and Wendy was especially helpful with directions to various locations and general info about the area. The room was clean and pleasant and exactly as described in the listing. The neighbourhood was pleasant with an air of community about it. We would recommend this venue to others.
The room is huge much bigger then the picture shows and it has a great shower. Also it was super hot when we stayed but the room has an ac unit and fan. The house is pretty big and the room is basically on it's own floor. The neighbourhood is very colourful and there is always a lot going on. My husband and I enjoyed exploring Brooklyn via the train line which is a 7min walk from the house and came home very late most nights and found it safe. It was about a 25-30min train ride to Times Square and very easy to understand the train lines. Wendy and Kevin were cool they were not overly chatty which is what myself and husband like we like doing our own thing but they were accommodating when we needed info.
We stayed at this place for approximately 7 days and we loved to be there. We really appreciated the room with the attached bathroom. After long and busy day trips, we loved to come back to this cozy lovely room with a very comfortable bed and an great air condition as well.
The accommodation is located in a neighborhood full of life, something we really enjoyed especially for our first visit in New York and particularly in Brooklyn. It is also easy to reach by public transportation and there are a lot of deli’s and grocery shops around and it is a great starting point for exploring Brooklyn.
Wendy and Kevin are wonderful hosts! The both are very friendly and have been always available for us for any kind of questions whether if we asked for recommendation referring local shopping spots or for leaving the flat on the day of our departure some hours later.
We highly recommend this place and in case we will ever visit New York again we really would love to come back! Thanks a lot Wendy and Kevin for having us!!
Loved this place. Very comfortable room with all amenities, excellent bed, shower with three heads -- a fantasy I've had for years which I was finally able to experience. Kevin and Wendy are wonderful, warm people, and their roommates are great. We had several fun conversations covering the most diverse topics. Easy walk to the JZM line and to the G. Aqbah's 24-hr deli is just up the street, and Mary's coffee shop is a couple blocks away. Both have very friendly staff, acceptable food and tolerable coffee (being from Seattle we are of course coffee snobs, and honestly they don't quite measure up, but you know you are roughing it, coffee-wise, any time you leave Seattle, that's just part of traveling). Be prepared to embrace the noise of the city and of the neighborhood :-). Bed-Stuy is slowly becoming gentrified, this location is on the forefront of that process. Everyone we met on the street was very friendly. Had an excellent time.
