Similar to the contrast between the city skyline seen from our roof and the bird sanctuary outside of our window, we built a loft that captures an NY artists energy and a quiet refuge. We our so lucky to live here and even more to share our home.
Cozy 800 square ft loft with views of city skyline. Rooftop access and a location 2 blocks from East River ferry or subway giving you almost instant access to New York city whether visiting or admiring from across the river.
Would you believe that Brooklyn is quiet? Maybe not all of our borough is so sweet and serene, but we are lucky enough to wake up to a bird sanctuary in our backyard. Our FOUR windows look out to trees and beyond that, the midtown skyline. After living street-side in my first two apartments here, I thought New York really was the city that never sleeps. Now I know that some of us sleep perfectly well! You just need to be in our apartment.
Great shops and restaurants in our quiet neighborhood give you perfect home-base to attend Broadway shows or go shopping and sightseeing without having to stay in the city or pay NYC hotel prices.
Full kitchen, bath for two, queen size mattress in separate sleeping area and enclosed guest nook with full size futon. Wifi and air-conditioning to make your stay an easy and comfortable one.
We have fallen in love with the neighborhood to the point that my wife has opened up a salon called the Parlour Brooklyn down the street. We are mainstays in this neighborhood, but when we leave on the weekend or for vacation we have loved sharing our home.
One of our favorite things about Brooklyn, is that you get to SEE the city and there is nowhere better to do that than our roof. Some of our neighbors are into rooftop gardening, but with our crazy lives, we like to put a blanket down for a beer or a picnic with wine.
We know you will enjoy your stay!
Per a recent request, a parking spot can be reserved for an additional fee.
Small dogs are allowed for an extra fee. Unfortunately we have cat allergies.
*There is a freight elevator in the building, but lately out of order more than it is working. As of 7/20/13, I am removing it from the amenities. Please expect a three floor walk-up and if the freight is available, lets call it a bonus.
**I have never listed cable TV, but I often get questions about not getting any stations on the TV. There are many DVD's in the apt, but to reiterate... there is no cable.
*** Our place still rocks!

Great place to stay in the area of NYC. Well situated and good if you have friends visiting you. Pat is very present to answer quickly when you have any questions or need. And you CAN park your car in streets around for free! Quite important in NY
My friends and I absolutely adored this apartment! Everything was exactly as described, there was comfortable bedding, al the kitchenware needed to make a delicious Christmas feast and the neighborhood fantastic. Couldn't have asked for anything more wonderful! Highly recommend!!
Pat's place is great! All his instructions were clear and easy to follow, the apartment is clean, warm and comfortable (which was very welcome, as the weather was cold and snowy) and has all the necessary amenities. The bed is huge and also very comfortable. I could happily live there full time, especially as I have many friends in the area. Highly recommended - five stars at least!
great place, great location, great price!
Great apartment.Very clean & comfortable., & warm!
Superbly placed for the ferry into Manhattan , and the train into Grand Central Station.
Has a good selection of bars, restaurants,Dandelion wine shop, take outs ,very good& convenient.
Wonderful view of Manhattan skyline from the roof terrace, although we didn't linger there as it was November!
Pat was a great host & there was nothing we could fault.Would highly recommend this apartment.
As you no doubt have discovered there are myriad choices in Brooklyn to choose from. Let me narrow it down, Greenpoint Spacious Loft w Rooftop. A real find. The place was great! I was really amazed at how quiet the street and the building were. Had I not seen people in the building I would have the thought I was the only one there. The apt itself was very clean and well appointed. Everything works as you would expect. A killer view of Manhattan right out the windows and even better from the roof.
Really convenient for exploring the rest of Brooklyn by subway and the Ferry. I've been to Manhattan several times but never Brooklyn, it's a fascinating place and easily accessible via the G Train and The East River Ferry. A great variety of funky shops, Bodegas, food markets and restaurants just blocks from the apartment and if you venture into the rest of Brooklyn, you'll need a week at least. Pat is a great host and provides a comprehensive package of things to do and places to go as well as how to get there. If you're a first time tourist, you can't go wrong with this rental. I'd recommend this to anyone.
My friend and I had a very nice stay at Pat's apartment. The apartment was perfectly clean and is situated in a quite street. Slept very well. Everything we needed during our stay was available in the apartment including some very helpful recommendations for restaurants/bars. We have also enjoyed the neighborhood a lot. Just can recommend to stay at Pat's place.
We had a wonderful time in Pat's appartment. It's calm, light, very clean and has something like a vintage touch. No too many things in it but everything you need. Great with children ! The rooftop is just wonderful. We used to go there to see the sunrise, this is one of the best experiences of our trip to New York ! You can see the skyline also from the four windows of the appartment. Greenpoint is our favourite neighborhood in NY, inspiring and really cool. Many great cafés on Manhattan and Franklin av. Easyiest way to Manhattan is the ferry, but the subway is ok too.
Pats Apartement is really spacious, clean and comfortable. First day Pat asked us, if we need his help. Fortunately we did not need any help because everxthing is easy. You will find a manual for the apartment on the desk, so you could manage really everything. And the outlook from the roof is unbelievable. Especially by night. Times Square can be reached within 25 minutes by subway. We can recommend Pats apartment without any limitation.
Pat's place is a great spot overall, especially from a value perspective. The building is a bit aged, but has a ton of character and felt very safe - family oriented in part, and just good people overall. The apartment was in solid shape, very hip, everything was there and made the stay very convenient, and the rooftop views are to die for - right of the entire Manhattan (perfect for a late night Rose on a date).
I'd recommend it to everyone!
