Our farm is a quiet, 5 acre haven one mile from the center of Easthampton and 8-12 minutes to Smith College/Northampton. It's a great base from which to explore all the restaurants, cultural and outdoor activities offered in the beautiful Pioneer Valley.
The freshly updated and private apartment is on the first level of our rustic farmhouse and offers a kitchenette, living room, queen bedroom and full bathroom. (An additional full size bedroom is also available-see separate listing for 2BR).

The space
NOTE: We are a safe and inclusive space for everyone - Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as all genders are welcome to stay with us. We ask all guests to respect this policy regardless of personal opinions or affiliations.

The freshly refurbished and private apartment is on the first level of our rustic farmhouse. You will enter the apartment into the living room with a dining area on one side and a comfy couch for watching TV or reading on the other side.

The kitchenette is off the living room and contains all essentials for basic cooking and meal prep including: toaster oven, microwave, two-burner hot plate and all necessary cookware, dishes and utensils.

The bedroom has a queen bed with two closets. There's plenty of space to unpack onto the shelves or to hang nicer items. There is also a small shelf/desktop that will hold a laptop computer. (An additional small bedroom with full size bed is also available. See separate listing for our 2 bedroom apt.)

There is one bathroom directly across from the queen bedroom. The shower is a claw foot tub which requires you to step over a ledge and into it. It's best for those who are steady on their feet. The shower head is low and may not be comfortable for someone close to six feet tall or higher, however there is a handheld shower head to assist.

The heat works very well in the apartment! You won't be cold in winter; bring a t-shirt. In the summer, we have a window air conditioner in the bedroom ONLY.

Please note: The space has been refurbished but the building itself is almost 200 years old. If you are sensitive to old buildings or have severe allergies, this may not be the right place for you.

Guest access
Drive slowly up the long driveway, it's a bit bumpy.
The house is a work in progress and pretty rustic looking on the outside (for now). DON'T WORRY, inside is really nice!

Easy parking is just outside the front door. The apartment is the one-story building in between the two-story house and barn. Enter through the sun porch and go through the purple door.

Other things to note
Our farm is a former organic flower farm and spiritual commune that fell into disrepair under the previous owners. We recently purchased the property and are in the process of bringing it back to its former glory; inside the house is much better than outside! The house is set back from the road and privacy remains intact, be prepared for rustic charm. You're welcome to wander the grounds, sit by the pond, or pick raspberries and apples in-season.

Mindy lives on the farm and manages the property (and does all the hard work). Allison comes and goes with the tide but is always connected via the interwebs.

Shelburne Falls Coffee, Small Over Bakery, Mt Tom Ice Cream, Cocos Restaurant, Nonotuck Park, The Pond (where you can fish), Big E Grocery, hike up and enjoy the view from Mt. Tom

Northampton:
Frequently voted the "best small arts town" in New England. Unique locally owned shops and restaurants are abundant, you won't be disappointed by an afternoon wandering through town. Live music at the Iron Horse is a highlight. A variety of cultural activities are always ongoing at Smith College, UMass, Amherst College, Hampshire College and Mt Holyoke College. All are within a 30 minute drive.

To quote Buckaroo Bonzai of the 8th dimension, "wherever you go, there you are". Boom, and just like that I landed on a farm in Easthampton, MA. All of my friends know that I love a project and this space is one that I'm really excited about. I like to think of the farm as a coconut, hairy and crusty on the outside, and sweet on the inside. Come join us, relax and take a walk around. Depending on the season you'll find red raspberries, vine ripe concord grapes, apples galore, fish in the pond, and a lovely sitting area to read a book or enjoy a meal. When I'm not busy helping folks buy and sell real estate....and thinking up the next big thing to occupy my time, I enjoy going to movies, hearing live music, and hanging out with my 9 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dante. Our day wouldn't be complete without a daily romp through the beautiful Pioneer Valley, the best place on this side of the planet.

During your stay
Come and go as you please. I'm happy to chat but this is not an "actively" hosted space.
Dante, the coolest Chesapeake Bay Retriever in the world, is my permanent sidekick and will never miss an opportunity to say hello.
