Spend the night inside Chicago’s post-punk & industrial history. This 2,000 sq ft, 4-bedroom apartment is part of the Museum of Post-Punk & Industrial Music — a lived-in archive filled with authentic memorabilia, original art, vinyl, cassettes, books, and carefully curated design. Set in the vibey Bridgeport Arts District (96 Walk Score), you’re steps from coffee shops, record stores, dive bars, pizza, and art spaces. Only 12–15 minutes to the Loop, McCormick Place, and Sox Park.

The space
Visiting Chicago for music or an event?
This space is especially popular with guests attending concerts, festivals, and other cultural events. We’re an easy trip to venues across the city, as well as a comfortable, quiet place to land afterward — and a setting that is directly connected to the music itself.

Perfect for groups of 2-4 who want space — Unwind and explore.

🛋️ Living Room
A bright, spacious (16' x 18') living room designed for unwinding and discovery. Features a comfortable 7-seat sofa, a 85" TV with custom music-related content, and a curated record collection with turntable — including rare white label test pressings. Original artwork and artifacts from China Dub, Sheep on Drugs, and related projects are integrated into the space without overwhelming it. Comfortable, calm, and very lived-in.

🛏️ Master Bedroom (Queen)
A quiet, character-filled room (16' x 9') anchored by a custom-built industrial four-poster queen bed. This room includes select archival pieces — including a section of the FOOK backdrop, original photography, and historically significant items from Public Image Ltd and Killing Joke — presented thoughtfully so the room still feels restful, not busy. This room has hosted multiple artists and cultural figures from the world of Post-Punk & Industrial.

🛏️ Bedroom 2 (Twin + Twin)
A flexible room (16' x 9') with two twin beds, ideal for friends or family. Features a glass display case with early Ministry releases, Chemlab tapes, and other Chicago-centric artifacts, alongside Joy Division posters and select memorabilia. Comfortable beds, good light, and a quieter corner of the apartment.

🛏️ Bedroom 3 (Queen)
A more intimate room (14' x 8') with a distinctly Chicago feel. Highlights include a vintage cocktail table from Club Neo, Wax Trax!–era materials, Lead Into Gold photography, and a manual typewriter. A favorite for guests who want a slightly more atmospheric, creative space.

🛏️ Bedroom 4 (Twin + Twin)
This room (15'x12') hosts a lovely roadcase loveseat as well as various music equipment. A keyboard, guitar amp, and even the bass rig formally used by the band Shellac. Artifacts from Lydia Lunch, Touch & Go Records, and more line the wall.

🛁 Bathroom:
A charming, original 1905 bathroom (8' x 10') with vintage fixtures and character intact. Hot water is reliable but not instant — think of it as part of the experience (and a brief pause before the day begins).

🍴 Dining Room:
An open dining and gathering space (11' x 14') with a large 30" x 96" table and seating for eight. Includes a charging station, a curated reference library of over 300 books, and a display case featuring artifacts from Gang of Four and related projects. Also includes a 55" TV with custom content. Ideal for shared meals, planning the day, or late-night conversations.

🍳 Kitchen:
Fully equipped kitchen (9' x 14') with a 4-burner GE Profile stove and oven, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker stocked with Dark Matter Coffee. Functional, clean, and set up for real use.

Neighborhood highlights

Bridgeport is historic with character - a walkable, locally vibrant neighborhood. A wonderful mix of residential areas alongside creative spaces — historically Lithuanian and Italian, now a blend of Chinese-American, Mexican-American, artists, and long-term Chicago families. It’s quiet but close to downtown with great transit access to the Orange and Red Lines.

Full of independent food, art, and coffee options. With half a dozen coffee shops within a few blocks, it's a coffee-lover's paradise. The creativity seems to be growing exponentially with resale shops, skate shops, bars, printmakers, art spaces, art walks, tattoos and lovely dive bars and creative markets at Antique Taco & Ramova on a Sunday, yoga and other workshops at Tangible Books sometimes on weekends. The neighborhood has a safe, residential feel, yet is close to any amenities you'd need.

This is a great location from which to base camp and discover larger Chicago events, but you might just want to decide to walk around and have a recharging, different, unplugged kind of experience through Bridgeport's cultural richness. Nevermind ‘discover Bridgeport’ how about ‘discover yourself!’
