  • Helene and Howie were absolutely perfect hosts. They have a wonderful home that is so comfortable that we didn't want to leave! Their neighborhood is gorgeous -- wooded countryside with lush green vegetation -- and we felt like we were in a forest retreat. We instantly connected with them and we feel like we have made new friends. They were so good with our ~4 yo daughter and they made us feel at home with them. Howie made us delicious breakfast on both days we were there and that was such a treat. And they had tasty, healthy snacks and fruits out for us the whole time we were there. The weekend at their place was incredibly relaxing and we have returned feeling centered and at peace. What better experience can there be?! Lenny and Howie are truly wonderful people and we hope to see them when they next visit near where we live.

  • We loved our weekend visit to the Steel's charming old schoolhouse. Lenie and Howie are the perfect hosts. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with hot mugs of tea, a table loaded with fresh fruit and snacks, and chocolate on our pillows. Their elegant home is tucked on a pine-shaded hill within walking distance of a horse farm and vineyard.

In the evening, we sat around the fireplace like old friends, chatting for hours over a glass of wine. We also enjoyed the freshly-prepared coffee and pancakes. It was difficult to leave this postcard-perfect setting—a true oasis from the city. We loved the conversation, the snuggly pair of kitties, and the chance to relax in such a unique setting. I hope we can return in the future.

  • Helene is one of the most gracious people I have had the pleasure of meeting these past few years as an Air BnB guest and host. She and Howie went "above and beyond" the norm to make us feel welcome in their home. If you are traveling in this section of PA, please consider staying with them -- you won't be sorry!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Lenie's and Howie's for a night over Valentine's Day Weekend and couldn't have chosen a better place! The downstairs area is so comfortable to relax in and we had such a great time chatting with the adorable couple for hours (though they have their own separate are upstairs we encouraged them to stay downstairs and visit with us/watch House of Cards), we immediately felt like family right after arrival. We were having such a great time chatting with them we even invited them to sit down to dinner with us as they were headed back upstairs, which led to a great evening of story swapping and memories. The food was amazing (Howie has previously owned 4 restaurants) and they were extremely accommodating. We were greeted with cheese, crackers & fruit along with heart shaped chocolates on our pillows! Needless to say we will definitely be returning :)

  • We had an amazing time at Lenie's and Howie's! They are such a charming couple and their house truly screams warmth. My friend and I stayed for an overnight personal retreat and we would go back in a minute! Breakfast was wonderful, Howie's coffee is great too! Thanks for hosting us and we can't wait to keep in touch!

  • Helene and Howie were amazing hosts and their house is clean and beautiful. When we arrived they had delicious crackers, cheese, fruit, tea and coffee ready for us, and were always happy to chat about recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area and life in general (but not in an intrusive way). They left us the entire downstairs floor for the evening (including big screen TV, kitchen, wood-burning fireplace). Thoughtful touches were plenty of bottles of water, fresh towels, soaps, shampoos and toothpaste. And the breakfast was delicious! House is nearby to deleware water gap (30 minutes) and other hiking areas, as well as numerous good restaurants and movie theatre. Would definitely recommend highly!

  • The location is perfect for someone who wants to visit the Delaware Water Gap (~30 mins drive) and the Poconos (~60 mins drive) over a weekend. But the highlight is the B&B itself, and the hosts. Helene and Howie were wonderful, always around when we needed them but never intruding. Their home is just as it looks like in the pics, just a little sunnier in reality. I loved that they had potted flowering plants on table tops instead of cut flowers. Small but thoughtful touches included coffee & cookies on arrival, crackers and cheese at night and plenty of bottled water. The breakfast was fresh and delicious (like melt-in-the-mouth-pancakes delicious). A wonderful getaway and very nice people! Highly recommended!
