If you're staying in Rome, you MUST stay here!! Andrea is the BEST AirBnB host I've ever had. He is very quick with communication and truly concerned with making your stay a pleasant one. When we first arrived he had a map marked with the historical landmarks, non-touristy restaurants, and lesser known but beautiful spots. Furthermore, the apartment is beautiful and located near all the sites. When we visited Zoolander 2 was being filmed outside of our doorstep. If I'm ever in Rome again, I know where I'm staying!
Great location for walking to Vatican City and the Castel Sant'Angelo. A quick walk up the hill gives you a beautiful view of the city. We stayed four nights. The great location comes at a price for noise, however. A nearby hospital and busy street are very noisy, especially Friday and Saturday night. Sunday and Monday were quieter. The host met us and was helpful with marking locations on a map. We loved the area of Travestere for eating and shopping and it was walkable from the flat as well. We walked to all the sights and only needed a taxi to the flat from the airport. We took a quick bus ride to the train station Termini when we left for our next city as we had luggage with us. A mini-mart right next store was great for drinks and fruit. No problems with anything in the apartment not working. Good Wifi. Easy entrance to the flat from the street.
The inside of the apartment was lovely. The ceilings and history of the building was really neat. It is located near a lot of must sees in Rome. The bathroom was upstairs which was a little odd but not too big of a deal. It is street level which made it noisy with a very busy road near by. Andrea provided some wonderful recommendations!! He sat down and walked through a map of the city, gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, all of which we tried, and spent some time suggesting how we navigate such a busy city. We really appreciated all his advice!
Andrea was very pleasant to talk with. We got there on time for checking and Andrea was waiting for us already. He explained every detail about the apartment and showed us every important site of Rome in the map. Besides, he made us very nice suggestions for eating and we found nice restaurants with traditional Roman food near to the apartment. The neighborhood is really nice and very close to the Vatican City and all Important sites in Rome which it was important for us. The apartment was very neat and clean. It is in a great location and very accessible to a public transportation. In general it was a great experience and we would rent Andrea's apartment again when we come back to Rome.
Arriving in Rome was a wonderful experience. Andrea met us as planned and showed us around the apartment and even walked with us outside to show us the nearby shops and points of interests. The apartment is right downtown and very close to the vatican. It is a lively location and perfect for people who like to be able to stroll around. I walked to the vatican in less than ten minutes and also was able to walk to Trastevere with ease. The building felt safe and the beds were comfortable. The apartment was very clean as well.
Our host was very welcoming and helpful. He gave us ideas what to see and places to go. The apartment was great and the location was perfect, you can walk to Vatican and most other tourist spots.
