To celebrate the first Test of the 2025 Ashes series, I’m excited to welcome cricket fans for an exclusive stay on the famous WACA Ground in my home town, Perth.

Guests can request to book this stay on 7 November at 12PM AEDT. Please read the House Rules before booking. I can’t wait to meet you and share some cricketing history in this special place!

The space
Situated on the hallowed turf of the WACA Ground in Western Australia’s Perth, the glamping tent of a cricket fan’s dreams awaits. The cosy, open plan space features a queen bed and two single beds surrounded by memorabilia and nods from my playing days. There is also an epic outdoor set up, complete with movie screen so guests can soak up the atmosphere of the field that has seen incredible cricketing legends play.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the WACA Ground and museum and be served gourmet meals by the renowned food and beverage team as well as enjoy a game of backyard cricket with yours truly, Mr Cricket.

House Rules:
• BYOB: Bring Your Own Bat - If you have a favourite at home that is!
• No streaking - this is still a family event, mate.
• Sunscreen is non-negotiable. The Perth sun doesn’t take prisoners, even in slips.
• Movie night snacks = mandatory. We’ve got you with popcorn and choc tops.
• No sledging the host. Mike Hussey’s seen it all. You won’t win.
• No complaining about the heat. It’s Perth — 38 degrees is just “a bit warm.”
• Backyard cricket rules apply. One hand, one bounce. Even for me.

I spend too much time: Playing, watching and talking cricket

I’m a retired Australian cricketer, proudly born and bred in Perth where I am still based with my family. I played 79 Test matches for Australia and these days can be found on the other side of the mic, commentating for cricket matches the world over. I love to spend time with my wife and our four children, enjoy staying active playing various sports and am committed to a number of charitable organisations.
