Our beautiful northlight cottage, located 18 km (11 miles) from Selfoss city and 60 minutes from Reykjavik capital is in a beautiful natur with easy accesss to major touristic sites. Relaxing or exploring, you will feel comfortable enjoying those bright summer nights or experience those amazing Northern lights from the terrace. No city lights or lights from neighbours surround that disturb your incredibly and inexpressible northlight view.

Our beautiful nothlight cottage, located 18 km (11 miles) from Selfoss city and 60 minutes from Reykjavik capital is in a … nature with easy accesss to major touristic sites. Relaxing or exploring, you will feel comfortable enjoying those bright summer nights or experience those amazing Northern lights from the terrace. No city lights or lights from neighbours surround that disturb your incredibly and inexpressible northlight view. Wonderful peace and quiet with exceptional view (you only hear the birds singing).
In Áshildarmýri (the cottage – 25 fm) offers a comfortable double bedroom,spacious, fully equipped and small kitchen (where you can easily prepare your meals) and nice living room space. Beautiful oasis (balcony) of peace where you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Iceland. The bathroom is with a shower. Included in the cottage: wi-fi, towels, wc paper, soaps, shampoos etc. Very nice window curtains of good use during the summer nights. Free parking places.

Actities: Horse rentals in the neighborhood, swimmingpool is 5 minutes drive ahead, the famous Golden Circle ca. 20 minutes drive, the national park Thingvellir ca 30 minutes drive, the famous glacier Eyjafjallajökull ca 40 minutes, Flúðir ca 15 minutes drive, Reykjadalur a geothermal ara and soak in a hot spring ca 30 minutes drive and Reykjavik ca 60 minutes drive. There are many event around the year in the small towns around we love to inform you about it. As well about restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, hiking activies, swimming pools etc.

Where you’ll be

Selfoss, Iceland

The area: View seen from cottage like mountains, river, birds, a famous volcano Hekla, animals like horses, sheeps etc. The cottage is surrounded with lava and nice green mouse, trees and incredible nature. Nice trails abround the area. No disturbance from neighbours. A quit and privat place.
