  • We loved this place. We had stayed on the South side in Kihei for a few days before and really enjoyed switching it up and staying on the North side (email hidden) and mountainous region. It was very quiet and felt more private. It is conveniently located to the road to Hana, going to the crater, going to Paia, and the Northeast side.

The place itself was great. The kitchen has everything you need. They have cable tv so we could watch the World Cup in the morn. They provided some fresh fruit. They also provided beach towels. You have your own private entry. There was also a very cute cat the greeted us one day.

We did run into Kelly our last day and she was very nice. She recommended that we check out the sea turtles that go up on the beach at sunset every night, so we took her up on it and had the chance to see 12 sea turtles!

Some people have mentioned bugs as an issue, but if you just keep the kitchen clean and free of food, you will have no problems!

I highly recommend staying here. It was a great experience for us!

  • This studio was nicely sized for 2 people, and was clean upon arrival. It was a bit of a distance from the nearest town (Paia), so be aware of that before booking. The drive to and from the studio was beautiful, however. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, plenty of refrigerator room. We were greeted by the cat each day, who was wonderful. We did not meet the hosts, but received fruit two or three times during the ~9 day stay. There were plenty of beach towels and bath towels, as well as a washer and dryer, which was very useful. Being right at the start of the famous road to Hana was wonderful, as well.

The only downsides of this place are the lack of air conditioning (though plenty of windows to open at night), and unfortunately the bugs. I believe bugs are to be expected in such a location, of course, but we would have liked to be aware of them prior to booking. We ran into quite a few ants, beetles, and a roach or two. We did not cook as much as we would have liked, because there was almost instantly a swarm of ants near the food as we cooked. I imagine this would be easily controlled with ant bait or similar items, as they decreased through the stay as we kept spraying. There was also an adorable little lizard running around the kitchen- we were fine with that. It was quite rainy during our stay, so we drove to the other side of the island each day to find places where it rarely rains (Lahaina, Keihi, over an hour drive). If this all sounds great to you, then I recommend staying.

  • Absolutely wonderful place. We got to meet our hosts and they were lovely and accommodating. It was rainy during our stay, but the days were generally lovely and warm, with rain in the evenings, making it nice for sleeping at night. The hosts have a very friendly dog and two cats which greeted us sometimes in the mornings or when we returned in the evening. The hosts had fruit on the table waiting for us the evening we arrived which was perfect as we hadn't eaten supper and it tided us over until we were able to go grocery shopping the next day. They also left us fruit on most mornings during our 11 night stay, which was lovely. It is close to the small community of Haiku and Paia for shopping and anything we needed. I was so quiet at night being in a residential community. We loved going to the beaches around Paia and enjoyed our drive to Hana while we were there. We hated to leave this cozy place and hope to one day return. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts. Kelly & Michael, Victoria, BC Canada

  • This place was absolutely amazing! Kelly was super nice to both of us and we found a fresh fruit basket with a very very nice card from her (we had just gotten married). Wow, what a place and a steal of a deal. Very clean, comfortable and peaceful. We loved staying here and would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Thank you Kelly & Jud!

  • This was a wonderful find for my wife and I. The place was centralized to majority of the island and it was easy to find.

  • It was a pleasure to stay here. Hana Hwy is really close which was great. Only regret was that our phones didnot have service, but the wifi made up for it :)
We'll be staying here for our next visit to Maui.

  • Lovely place, just as pictured. Hosts are delightful. I had mentioned in my booking that my niece was running her first half-marathon. We came back from the race to a congratulatory note and flowers! I loved the location --in a less touristy area of the island, but still a quick drive to the airport. It's very close to north shore beaches, the crater, or Paia.

  • If you're looking for a peaceful, homey spot to stay in the gorgeous jungle countryside, then you found your place! The size of the studio is perfect for two people and we both slept well on the firm mattress. We knew there was a full kitchen so we picked up some groceries before we checked in so we could make our breakfast in the morning and relax before heading out to explore. Everything was very clean and organized and I got the sense the unit was very well cared for. I loved our experience and can't wait to come back! Thanks so much for sharing your great space with us! :)

  • We had the best time staying here. It was so peaceful and really made our stay comfortable and cozy. The space was clean and really lived up to all the other stellar reviews. It's a little bit more off the beaten path, but just a 15 minute drive in Pa'ia and to the beach. The surrounding area is so lush that we felt like we were sleeping in the jungle, which lent to a very peaceful sleep every night. We would highly recommend this place to anyone else thinking about staying here.

  • 3 nights in this cute place was a great bargain. Very clean and comfortable. Recommend you book soon before the owners realize they should raise their prices.
