This is a quiet, rural area in historic Northwestern CT.

Breakfast, lunch and other essentials are available at the charming Colebrook Store in the center of Colebrook, a quick 4 minute drive. The town center also includes a post office, town hall, and summer recreation and swimming facilities.

Just 3 miles away is the historic town center of Norfolk, CT which includes Infinity Hall, Wood Creek Bar and Grill, the Berkshire Store, the Norfolk Library, and the Yale Summer School of Music.

There are several nearby state parks, and the area is ideal for hiking, biking, and skiing. We are a 30 minute drive from both Ski Sundown and Butternut Basin ski areas. Plenty of year-round activities!

My husband and I are from large farm families and were raised in New England. We enjoy the quiet life in Connecticut, the change of seasons and the great outdoors. After many years of work and travel for business, we are happy to call ourselves homebodies. I enjoy family, decorating, baking and entertaining. John loves all outdoor work. He likes to garden, farm, cut all of our firewood and restore old tractors. We recently acquired the property next door and began improvements. Our son and daughter-in-law travel quite a bit and highly recommended we offer the property on Airbnb. Having used Airbnb properties for their trips, they felt that our property had so much to offer guests, such as the hiking trails, porch, hot tub, fire pit, and pond. With their inspiration and guidance, we feel that we have made this rental very inviting. This has been a family endeavor and the property lends itself to families. "Home is where the heart is!"
