Hi there! We are a friendly, late 20’s couple, both in the environmental sector. Our clean and spacious one bedroom apartment in the Historic Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn is located on a side street that does not allow through traffic and offers seclusion from street noise. The living room - where you'll be sleeping - can easily accommodate up to three people with a full size futon and comfortable couch. It also boasts original pre-war details, restored mid-century modern furniture, hardwood floors, and two windows looking out into all the trees and quiet backyards of the block. The room is separated by a French door (with privacy blinds). We welcome you to use the full eat-in kitchen and share the hallway closet for storage. Parking is free and abundant most times of the day. The wifi, extra yoga mats, guitar and bikes are yours as well!

Guest Access

Please note that this is a private room with shared kitchen and bathroom.

Interaction with Guests

We work quite a bit during the week, but can always squeeze in mingling time during evenings and weekends. Usually, though, guests prefer their privacy - and that's perfectly fine as well!

The Neighborhood

Crown Heights is an eclectic and diverse neighborhood. Manhattan is only 20 mins away - 4 stops on the A train. There are several cool and cozy cafes with wifi just up the street (PS Designs Cafe, Lula Bagel, Richol Cafe), and restaurants (Basil, Catfish, Peaches Hot House). Franklin Ave is a short walk (and even shorter bike ride) nearby. Local bar options include Franklin Park, Nostrand Avenue Pub, and NoBar. Brower Park and the Brooklyn Children's Museum are right around the corner. Other places of interest include The Brooklyn Museum, Botanical Garden and Grand Army Plaza's bountiful farmers market. Check out https://www.airbnb.com/locations/new-york/crown-heights for more information on the area!

Getting around

Our apartment has quick access to several train lines, including the A (Nostrand Ave), C (Kingston-Throop), 3 (Kingston Ave) and LIRR (Nostrand Ave)

Check In
  • Laura and Tyler are great hosts. Smart, courteous and easy-going. They payed with my 3 y.o. daughter and gave us a bike to travel around Brooklyn. One is unlikely to find better hosts.

  • We could not have asked for better hosts while staying in Brooklyn. Laura and her boyfriend were very warm and interesting hosts who made our stay at their nice and neat apartment the most comfortable one can imagine. We really enjoyed and are thankful for our time with them, which is why we would recommend them and their place without hesitating; especially if you're into Scandinavia and cool Scandinavian design.
