Other Things to Note
Our home is is so sweet. We offer you, our guests, a sense of belonging and peace, simplicity and ease. For those of you interested in energy and body work, I am a certified foot Reflexologist, and Russell is a licensed massage therapist, specializing in light and sound therapies. KITTY (see below) is also a healer, specializing in love.
Queen Kitty Lucille does NOT go in the guest room, in case of allergies. FYI, she eats only raw meat, which leaves her allergen-free. Cats who eat kibble and processed canned foods have a hard time with digestion, it stresses their systems and can cause the conditions which allergy-sufferers react to.
My friends and guests who have allergies swear that they DO NOT have symptoms in my home. (See reviews from Cassandra and also from Oliver Hess). Kitty is a very kind and gracious being. She is not used to dogs. However, if your dog is mellow, and respectful, cat-friendly and preferably small, then your good dog would be welcome.
To have a good time while YOU are here.
To be comfortable and at rest. To be respectful of the space. To be aware of water conservation and energy consumption. And to feel at home.
Grace was warm and welcominng when we arrived. The home was comfortaqble and clean and as described. It was an easy, pleasant walk to town. It was a comfortable, quiet experience. She was watching a movie and invited us to join in and help choose the movie. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
Our time with Grace, Russell, and Kitty was magical, perfect in every way. Our accommodations were very comfortable, with everything that we might need thoughtfully prepared. We enjoyed walking from the house through the Santa Fe neighborhoods to the central plaza and beyond. Grace's home is beautiful and inviting, and we felt warmly welcomed and cared for. The best part of our stay was the time spent in conversation with our hosts and communing with Kitty. A special note: I had the great good fortune of having a foot reflexology session during our stay. Grace is a truly gifted healing practitioner whose work touches all levels. At the end of our session in her beautiful studio I felt deeply met and truly transformed. If you are able, make time to experience Grace's healing touch. Thank you Grace and Russell for sharing your bit of heaven in Santa Fe.
Well, I have two new life-long friends! This was a great stay. Welcoming, generous...everything that the Airbnb brand would hope to have in a host.
The house is a nice walk to downtown and very comfortable. And we loved the cat, who I well trained to stay away from non-cat people.
I had such a wonderful time staying in Grace's home. She was incredibly welcoming and gracious (what a fitting name she has!) and made me feel right at home. I stayed for 4 nights and was on the go every day, but always had such a nice chat with her when we'd see each other in the morning or evening. The bedroom and bathroom were great and it was walking distance to downtown. She felt like a kindred spirit and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to New Mexico!
The listing was accurate and her house is very charming and in a nice neighborhood. The house was close to everything. Grace was away for the two nights we stayed there. We had read others reviews where they had commented on her friendliness and hospitality. We had hoped to talk with her and find out about the area. It had snowed the night before and the house was very cold when we arrived. We were asked to turn hey heaters off at night and while we were away from the house. We were gone much of the time so the house was cold when we returned and never it really warmed up.We had booked a third night but decided to leave early.
About the Host, Grace Elena
Hello there, this is Grace.
I have lived in Santa Fe for 30 years and still love it here. Originally from California, I moved here in the early 80's with my one year old daughter. The mountains are my first love, and sitting by a mountain stream or sitting IN a natural hot springs pool is my idea of Heaven on Earth. At this writing, the only other place I would consider living would be Colorado. (And, of course, there's always my dream of a gas efficient RV.)
My interests are varied and simple.
'My Goods'' include good food, good company, good friends (old and new), an occasional glass of good red wine, a good movie, nature (which is all around us, here in Santa Fe), music on the plaza in the summertime, drumming and playing my flute, rainstorms and snowstorms, which I always consider 'good weather' since we are in the Southwest. I enjoy the Opera, (especially Sunday nights when the stars sing at a local piano bar), a sunset, being spontaneous, creating peace and comfort and sanctuary in my heart and in my home, organizing and feng shui (I was a professional organizer for many years), watching my daughter evolve, being an usher at The Lensic Performing Arts Center, having fun and remembering to care for our beloved planet. The simple, rich moments of life that depend only on appreciation.
That's what it's all about.
I am a certified foot Reflexologist and offer sessions in my home...
75 minutes of pure therapeutic heaven.
I enjoy my solitude and respect everyone's privacy, and ask for the same.
I also enjoy the company and offer my guests EASE and COMFORT and a big joyous WELCOME!
Your well-mannered GOOD DOG is welcome if he is VERY respectful of cats!
Hope to see you soon.
