Renown for it's fishing and snorkeling, the water on one side of the beach is only four feet deep and slowly cascades to over a 100-foot depth on the other side. This beach is one of the safest and most protected along the North Shore of the island. A fringed reef runs the entire length of beach and is Hawaii's longest reef. 1.Guest understands that each unit is privately owned, including the furnishings, with All Kauai Real Estate. acting solely as Booking Agent for the Owner. Unit may not be sublet or assigned without prior consent from All Kauai Real Estate. Guest agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Owner and Agent from any and all costs, expenses, legal proceedings, legal fees, suits, claims, or demands, whether from injury or loss of life to Guest and/or invitees of Guest, unless same was due solely to the willful act or gross negligence of the Owner or Agent. You are welcome to use any beach supplies and recreational equipment at your own risk and provided that you will assume all liability associated with the use of these items.
2.Owner maintains the right to enter for the following reasons: a. to make necessary or agreed repairs; b. to supply services agreed upon; c. if unit is for sale, we will give you 24 hours advance notice to show the unit at reasonable hours, d. in case of an emergency All Kauai Real Estate anchor its agents, reserve the right to enter at anytime for the purpose of safe keeping or prevention of further damage.
Note: Please notify All Kauai Real Estate if you will be absent from the property for more than 2 days.
3.Owner responsibilities: a. we will give you the right to occupy unit in accordance with this agreement; b. we will provide and maintain appliances. We will not be held liable for interruption of those services that are beyond our control. We will also not be responsible for interruption of electricity, water, or gas beyond our control. Please promptly notify Owner of any interruption(s) of said services. Guest(s) may not end this agreement due to interruption(s) of said services. There will be no refunds or adjustments of the rent. Agent reserves the right to offer alternative accommodations if available or to refund all monies collected at the Guest's option in the event the unit becomes uninhabitable for any reason.
4.Guest(s) responsibilities: a. notify Owner of any defects or problems with the unit; b. use of the unit is intended as a temporary vacation residence. Guest(s) may not use it for any unlawful, improper, or offensive purpose; c. NO pets allowed in unit; c. no disturbances: Guest(s) will not disturb others or keep them from enjoyments of common areas. Please obey all house rules posted in unit d. guest(s) acknowledge(s) that this reservation is only for the number of adults and children named herein. Babies count as guests.
5.Security Deposit or credit card may be used to pay for cleaning the unit, pay for long distance phone calls, to pay for damages caused by (s), replace missing or damaged inventory, and replace keys or locks for unreturned keys.
6.Housekeeping: The property will be cleaned and prepared prior to Guest's arrival. Fresh linens and towels are placed in the property, along with a starter supply of soaps and paper products. There may be various condiments and spices left in the kitchen, but it is not guaranteed. Additional supplies are the responsibility of the Guest. The cleaning charge is estimated for standard departure cleaning only. If any additional cleaning is needed, or furniture needs to be moved back to its designated location, the cost will be charged to the Security Deposit. Maid service is NOT included, but may be arranged at an extra charge prior to your arrival. Mid-stay cleaning(s) may be required for extended rental periods at Guest's expense.
Guest(s) must leave unit on the date and time designated, unless we approve of additional time. Any additional rents must be paid in advance. If guest does not have prior authorization for a late checkout, and additional day rent may be charged
7.Abandoned possessions: Neither All Kauai Real Estate nor Owner will not be responsible for any personal effects left in the unit. We will be glad, at Guest's request, and if found, to mail them back and have the right to deduct postage from the security deposit.
8.If All Kauai Real Estate cooperates with another agency in securing the rental, we will not be held responsible for their course of action. Should a property be made unavailable for any reason beyond the control of the Owner or All Kauai Real Estate, we will make every effort to substitute a similar property. If no other property is available our liability will be limited to a refund of any rents and deposits prepaid by the Guest.

I love to dance, read, and walk the beach with our dogs. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities. Thailand is fascinating and New Zealand beautiful. Adored Paris. Trying to decide on my next exotic destination. Not exotic, but very nice, Traverse City Michigan, this summer to visit family, with a few days at Mackinac Island--another of my favorite places. But my very favorite is right here where I live.
In 1991 I moved to Kauai and became a real estate broker and property manager, at the same time my friend Mark and I managed a couple B&Bs, and we now own Kalalau B&B. Last year he married Christine who moved here from Germany. We share running the B&B, and we all love living in Kauai, and especially on the North Shore. Mark is an artist and chef, and Christine is a retired actuary, who is artistic, musical, and many talented. She and I perform hula whenever we get a chance, quite often at Tahiti Nui on Wednesdays in Hanalei. When you stay with us we can tell you more, but we'd rather hear about you.
I recently became licensed to perform weddings in the state of Hawaii, when it became imminent that gay marriages would be made legal. I am perhaps the only avowed atheist wedding officiant on Kaua`i.
More than you wanted to know about me. I attended University of Michigan after graduating and soon after that went to work for the Teamsters Union in Detroit, and from there to the legal firm that handled most of the large trucking companies. After a couple years, I moved to New York City where I was hired as executive assistant to the president and executive vice president of two huge corporations in their Wall Street Offices. From there I went to work for Norman Mailer and worked for him for many years as research assistant, confidante, copy editor, and secretary (never wife or lover) both in New York City and Provincetown, MA. Spent a year or so as a hippie traveling around the country with a flower in my hair. Then I married and moved to Stowe, Vermont, for nearly 20 years, where I skied and sailed for recreation.
