The loft is located in Cabbagetown, a hip neighborhood of restored homes. Several restaurants and bars are located right outside the property's back gate.
Nearby neighborhoods include Grant Park which contains the Atlanta Zoo and The Old Fourth Ward, home to the Martin Luther King Historic District. Downtown Atlanta is only a 5 minute drive or a few stops on the MARTA subway system and easy access to:
Centennial Olympic Park
World of Coke
Sky View Ferris Wheel
The Inman Park MARTA station is a 3 minute drive, with free parking. It's on the East / West Line and is 4 stops away from the CNN Center.
In the spring of 2014, the Atlanta Streetcar will be completed which will provide transportation from The Old Fourth Ward to Centennial Olympic Park
Dan was a great host. Quick and on top of all communication, and his place was top notch.
Ive stayed at plenty of hotels in Atl, and this topped all of them. Heck, my gf and I debated trying to sweet talk him into letting us buy it. 10/10, will definitely stay again.
I am familiar with the funky, artsy section of Atlanta called Cabbagetown. I had heard about the lofts that had been created from the previous Fulton Cotton Bag Mill and had always wanted to stay there. The condo itself is a very comfortable place to stay with exposed brick and nice high windows. Dan's place is on the 4th floor, so the views looking down are cool. You can see the MARTA (subway) trains that are elevated in this section and the CSX freight trains that make you aware of the interconnectedness within the city and movement of goods to and from Atlanta. At Thanksgiving time it was too cold to swim in the pool, but if you are lucky enough to visit in a warm season the pool situated next to the remains of a wall of the mill looks very cool, it looks like a pool next to an archeological site. Dan was a cooperative host who communicated about necessary details. My husband and I hope we have a chance to visit again sometime. When you go, visit Amazza Pizza on the other side of the train tracks. It's a new beautifully designed brick place with wonderful pizza, salads, wine, beer, and mixed drinks.
Dan was a great host. The place was very nice and clean. He was responsive if we had any questions. I would highly recommend his loft!
Great apartment and very comfortable. Dan's place is walking distance to some nice restaurants and bars and good coffee.
It was a GREAT apartment in a really nice area. Close to some good restaurants in Cabbagetown and a short drive to the downtown area. Dan was super accommodating and helpful; he was out of the city the weekend I was in and he made it super easy to get in and out of the apartment.
