About this listing
Private room in a 3BR/2.5BA condo in East Liberty. Close to Carnegie Mellon University (owner is a student), Pitt, Chatham, Bakery Square, Hospitals, Shadyside, Highland Park and Downtown. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.
This is a unique condo because of its history. The previous owners did an excellent job of updating the interior while preserving the exposed brick and historic exterior.
Guests will have access to the bedroom and private bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed and access to a closet. The private bathroom is a few steps down the hall and has a shower and bathtub. Guests are also welcome to use the open concept main floor (living room/dining room/kitchen/half bath).
Interaction with Guests
We can interact as much or as little as you like. I'm a runner, soccer player, shopper, yogi, and student and my live-in boyfriend is into biking, cars, and golf. We both love to eat and do things around the East End. If any of that interests you, we would be glad to show you around!
If you're thinking about visiting, you're probably well-aware of the Pittsburgh hype. East Liberty, in particular, is now the place for some of the best shopping and dining in the city.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s place. We were not able to meet Kathleen in person because she was out of town, however communication was very good and it was super easy to access the accommodations. The condo is lovely and spacious and we were very comfortable. Kathleen provided a list of good restaurants and coffeehouses nearby. The neighborhood has a cool vibe and we enjoyed exploring it. Also because of its central location it was easy to get around to other places of interest. The two cats, Chubs and Oskar, definitely enhanced our stay. Chubs is adorable and followed us around like a puppy, whereas Oskar is shy and very sweet when he decides to cozy up. We had a great time and look forward to staying there again.
We didn't get to meet Kathleen because she was out of town but we had a great experience staying here. The room and bathroom were clean and the cats super friendly. Also, the house is decorated beautifully! Thanks again.
This is a great place to stay! The house is stylish, well kept, and welcoming. The kitchen was ample, the bathrooms were spotless, and the bed was comfy. It was a great place to stay in Pittsburgh for an amazing price. The two cats are fantastic and super friendly!
Kathleen was such a great host. We arrived earlier than her, but were immediately greeted by her once she returned. She offered for us to stay with her to watch the soccer game and we shared some laughs and had good conversations. The whole house is lovely and our room/bathroom was perfect. Also, we have to add that her two cats are adorable and if you love cats you will definitely enjoy staying with Kathleen! Thanks again.
Loved this space. Katie is a real gem and accommodated my very late booking request. Chubs the cat is reason enough to visit Pittsburgh.
Kathleen is a great host. The place was warm, inviting, and quite comfortable. I highly recommend!
The place is a gem in East Liberty. Kathleen was responsive to any need. It was everything I hoped it would be, comfortable and cozy. The cats are sweet.
About the Host, Kathleen
I'm from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, but love living in the East End. My fiancé and I work in finance and I'm going to Carnegie Mellon for my MBA at night. I like to run, play soccer, shop, cook and do yoga.
