We had a lovely stay at Copper Beech Farm.
We were two couples travelling together, and the apartment suited us very well.
The kitchen was well appointed for cooking, and the bedrooms were comfortable. We did enjoy the fireplace in the cold weather
The farm was very well positioned to visit Blarney castle and cork.
A great stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Copper Beech Farm Loft. Michael met us when we arrived and gave us a walk through on the operation of the house. The next day we discovered a plate of scones that had been there at our arrival but we had missed - tasty for that morning's breakfast! After that, we didn't really see each other except for when we were coming or going on our driving tours around the lower half of Ireland. Kinsale is just a few minutes down the road. The loft is exactly as pictured, the two bedrooms each have their shower and toilet so a family could easily stay here. The living room setup has several comfy chairs and a couch. Temperature of the loft was comfortable (we never tried to heat the place while staying there). Water pressure and temperature were very good. There is a full kitchen, but we mostly used the hot water heater and toaster for breakfast before hitting the road. After coming from a week on the road, the washer and dryer down below were nice to have. We watched a little TV in the evenings, but mostly planned the next day's details. The Internet was a bit sketchy (good connection, but low throughput. We knew this coming to the Loft so it wasn't a big problem). There was another guest below
us but we never heard them. It's very quiet at the CBF and a great place to stay near Cork - close enough for convenience, but far enough away for peace and quiet.
We had a wonderful time in "The Loft". Michael provided helpful information for finding the nice farm in the country. Eileen gave us a warm welcome, we find everything we need in the house. We made wonderful trips to Kinsale and along the countryside.
Thank you for all!
We really enjoyed our stay at the loft converted barn. The house is well equiped, very cosy and set in an ideal location if you want to visit Kinsale, Cork, Cohb or Blarney. Michael and Eileen are very nice and delighted us with their cowś milk and wonderful scones. We all loved the milking of the cows and the girls liked the children games so much...especially the trampoline and the skateboards. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place where to stay, don't hesitate...you have found it at Michael and Eileen's farm.
Amazing place in a breathtaking scenery of Irish nature. Eileen & Michael are wonderful people, truely welcoming and limitlessly caring. They have shown great taste in furnishing the cottage with an exquisite eye for detail.
Michael is an exemplary host who sent me a mail with all the necessary information three days in advance. Getting to the Copper Beech Farm from Cork Airport takes no time, still you don't see anything of the airport.
Arriving at their place we were welcomed with home-made delicious surprises though I will not tell what exacty to expect to not spoil the surprise :). The stove was filled with firewood, ready to get lit and enjoy this cosy cottage.
After all, it was an unbelievably relaxing weekend. Thank you so much! Looking forward to our next visit!
