Welcome to Paris!
This is a charming apartment in the heart of the 9th district of Paris, moments away from bars, restaurants and theatres.
You will also find supermarkets, bakeries and any other amenities you might need to have a pleasant stay.
It is an entire apartment, not a share.
The closest metro station is Grand-Boulevards, minutes from Musée Grevin, Opera, the famous Chez Chartier Brasserie etc..
Pigalle, Montmartre or the Galeries Lafayette are only a 10 minutes walk, and within 20 minutes by foot you could find yourself in the Louvre or Chatelet.
The apartment is located on the 4th floor, with no lift.
It is fitted with a modern kitchen, including an oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
You will be able to enjoy a flat screen tv with a dvd player and a high-speed wi-fi connection.
Bed linen and towels are included.
Light and airy, this flat fits 2 comfortably, or 4 cosily thanks to its double bed and comfortable convertible sofa bed.
During the initial booking process for this apartment, Patrick was very responsive and accurately answered any questions immediately. This excellent communication was carried through with aplomb into the stay itself, where the only question I had (regarding internal door access) was answered via SMS within minutes.
The apartment itself is situated in a fantastic location, just four minutes' walk from Grand Boulevards Metro and one minute away from the mecca of all French supermarkets, Monoprix! The street itself is right where everything else is -- bars, restaurants, pharmacies, specialist shops, but just off on a safe side street so it remains quiet.
The main external door to the building is heavy and secure, with a pin-pad code, and there is then a hallway which has a second security door (entry via touch-less key fob) for added protection. Unfortunately, the lift only goes up to the first floor, and Patrick's apartment is in a separate part of the building which is only accessible by very narrow, sometimes-slippery, stairs. This can be an issue with heavy luggage, but the apartment makes up for the extra sweat!
Although Patrick forgot to mention that the landlord had builders in the courtyard making loud noise from 08:30-17:00 each weekday, I was delighted with the rest of the building. The apartment's front-door is (like the other doors!) very secure, and opens onto a comfortable hallway. The lounge/kitchen is very well-equipped with a nice Ikea sofa-bed, plenty of pots/pans/glasses etc., soap and cleaning products (if needed), ironing and drying boards, and a fridge/dishwasher/kettle/oven/microwave etc... A great place to cook if that's your intention!
I found the bedroom to be pretty large, with nice full-length Parisian windows and a comfy bed. The lighting was good (bar the energy-saving bulbs which are now mandatory in Europe!) with plenty of cupboard space. The duvet could do with being upgraded as it had signs of wear -- but spares were provided in case I wanted to change it.
The toilet (in its own separate room) was very small, but useable, and the shower/sink room was modern with a nice shower, glass sink and plenty of hanging space for clothes, towels etc. The washer/dryer was a great touch, but user instructions could be left in English in-addition to French, as these can be printed from the manufacturer's website and would help anyone (like me!) who knows French, but not the technical language specific to laundry appliances!
I really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is pretty small, but pretty big for Paris, and is in a fantastic location. The access is a bit of a hassle (staircase etc.) and can be noisy with echoes from other residents' footsteps, but overall I loved the apartment (and Patrick's great service) and would be delighted to return in the future. Thanks to Patrick also for ensuring the apartment had all the consumables required (bin liners etc.) and my appreciation also for his excellent cleaning lady who waited for me and kept the space immaculately tidy!
Patrick is very nice and responsive person! His good advices helped us to reach the flat and to find out all required points in Paris. His small sweet and clean apartment is greatly located! We haven't seen Patrick but his cleaning lady kindly wait for our late arriving even when we stocked in traffic jam from our way to Paris. Thanks to her very much! The apartment is very close to famous restaurant and there are a lot of bars and places around. Thank you Patrick! Paris is great!
The apartment is in a great location close to lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the metro. It is well equipped and we loved having a useable kitchenette to cook in some nights. The apartment was very clean upon arrival. Although we never met Patrick in person, his communication before our arrival was excellent. Overall, we spent a fantastic few nights there and had an excellent and very enjoyable stay in Paris.
Very close The famous restaurant 'chartier' , metro, mart, cafe Neighborhood , safe
And Patrick, good host.
we couldn't see him but he always contacted us to airbnb.
The things that inconvenient are no elevator and the construction because construction we couldn't open the window.
But our staying in his home will be good memory. Thank you Patrick
