I think there is not much to say that will top the previous commenter's reviews. All I can say is that we enormously enjoyed Sue's place to the fullest. It is really a fantastic place, especially for families. We were 2 couples with each a baby and it fitted just perfectly. Do not expect too much luxury but if you are fine with that it is a true gem for those who appreciate living with the sea at your feet. The words "this is the life!" were repeatedly heard over and over again from various lips of our group. Thanks, Sue!
A fantastic location to share a family holiday on the beach. Plenty of hot water, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. Estate agents jargon would describe it as "would benefit by modernisation". 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
Our stay in Sues house was wonderful.
We very much enjoyed the fire place when it got colder at nights and the terras next to the house which is sunny in the afternoon and evening. Looking out of the bedroom or living area, and look straight to the sea and beaches, is truely a fantastic experience. Every time it looks different.
Our daughter truely loved all the childrens book and board games, she has 'read' them all, and it was great for me to work on my french. There are alot of walking maps, and books with walks. We did a walk around the lake nearby, which was great. And walking along the GR34 was wonderful. The beaches are wonderful. We also drove to Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Vent, very impresssive coast.
On wednesdays and saturdays it is market in Audierne, superb for shopping groceries. The house has an excellent oven (only used it when all other electra is switched off!), so you can really go all cheffie. Plouhinec has a market sunday morning, but we missed that. Plouhinec is a sleepy village, all productivity centered in the big supermarket, very handy, but it drags all the liveliness out of the village.
We had a great time. There is so much to discover, especially if you like walking, nature, and a peaceful quiet surrounding.
We made some good memories in this house, many thanks Sue!
We had a great time at the beach house. The housekeeper was really friendly and helpful, when we had a problem with the electricity she and her husband came within 5 minutes and solved it. Facilities are excellent, the kitchen is well equipped and the fireplace kept the house warm and cosy even in the rather cold April weather. The location is unbeatable, great to see the waves rolling into the bay whilst sitting in the living room. The garden is very nice as well. Highly recommended!
