We are very happy and satisfied with our stay in RoMa Housing Bb. The apartment were pretty nearby to the center of Rome and If we wanted to take a cab home later at night it only cost us 20-30 euro, so I recemend that if u are a big group of people. Anna-Maria were very friendly and a perfect houst because we could ask her anything.
The only thing that we would liked to have was big mirrors =).
I really recommend this apartment if you are visiting Rome!
Both Manuela and Anna Marie were lovely, helpful informative hosts. anna Marie kindly tolerated our unexpected delay (an error with trains - make sure you get on an all stations to fumiciano aeroport not an express!) and was waiting for us patiently outside our apartment building. Also very nice to have juice and biscuits upon our arrival. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Good to have 2bathrooms for 6 of us. Very much student/hostel feel to theapartment however good location so proved to be a good base forexploring Rome not a place to relax in - more suited to adults than a family with young children. It was extremely hot while we were in Rome so we had to sleep with doors & Windows open to allow some breeze so quite noisy for us at night. overall a good place for hitting the streets of Rome.
Great location, very central! Nice apartment for a family! Manuela always a lovelly person! Very attencious! I recomend it!!
My family and I had a great stay at this apartment. It was roomy, clean, and well furnished. It was also easy to get to the sights on the tram right outside. There are cafes and grocery shops near by, as well. We loved the market downstairs on Sunday! Manuela was very kind and accessible when we needed her.
Perfect for our needs- spacious, light, clean, uncluttered and safe. Excellent location- on multiple bus and tram lines, very close to Trastevere Station which makes getting to and from Fiumicino a snap. You can easily walk into the centro storico, or take the tram. Sunday flea market literally at the doorstep, grocery store 2 minutes walk. Kitchen is basic but adequate for cooking simple meals.
Manuela was always available by email, by phone and in person, and gave us excellent service in every way. Thank you!
This is a great apartment in a newer building. The master bedroom opens up to a great view of the street below from the 5th floor, the kitchen has been recently remodeled and offers a great place to stay in and cook with plenty of space. The neighbors are very friendly and even offered to cook for me one night. The surrounding area is outside of the touristy center, but still heavily populated with American foreign exchange students so English can get you by without a lot of trouble.
The apartment was well stocked with cooking utensils, clean sheets, toilet paper, and soap. Plenty of closet space and a washer with a drying rack to hang your clothes. I couldn't have asked for a better, spacious apartment for my week in Rome - thank you very much!
My wife and I were satisfied with our stay at the Boarding House. It is basically intended for students (mostly from the American University in Roma, I suppose), but it works just fine for all kinds of visitors. The main advantage is that the apartment is extremely spacious with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms/toilets. The place was clean. What is missing is probably a common area since the kitchen is too small. Also, some of the lights were not working (I guess because of burnt out light bulbs), but everything else we needed for cooking, hygiene and eating was in order. There is security at the entrance, but the neighbourhood itself was pretty safe. The wi-fi connection was stable and relatively fast.
Going downtown was no problem because there is a tram and bus station one minute away from the apartment building. The nearest metro, though, was not so close, but you wouldn't really need it given you have other means of transportation.
We weren't able to meet with Manuela, the official host, as we were running late for check-in. She was very friendly and responsive helping us prepare for the trip. We were greeted and welcomed by Theresa who doesn't speak much English, but using some amateur Italian and gestures we managed to understand where everything was and get acquainted with the place quickly.
Another major plus is that getting from and to the airport is really simple. There is a train station (Trastevere Stazione) at a 10-minute walking distance from the place and a direct train to the Fiumicino Airport.
A big surprise was the Sunday marketplace which gets set up over night, so it was a bit noisy that day early in the morning (the first stalls start getting set up between 5 and 6am). It is a very lively event and as if by magic the entire street turns into a flea market where you can find just about anything at a very low price.
Overall, a positive experience, probably optimal for a group of four, but works as a fairly affordable option for couples.
The apartment is beautiful and near everything, Manuela guide us in things about her town. Thank you very much we had a wonderful time in Rome.
Simple, spacious, clean apartment in a building predominantly inhabited with international students who were very helpful and nice (not noisy at all!).
I enjoyed the residential feeling of the area, which was also a 10-minute walk, or a couple tram stops from the main part of Trastevere. It was also quite easy to get to Testaccio and the city center. Waking up to the Sunday flea market was a real treat.
Manuela and Melissa were very responsive to my questions. It was a good value accommodation.
