  • I stayed at Sabine's cottage in Ashland for 10 days in April 2014. The cottage is a very pleasant space, with a fireplace, full kitchen including new gas range, and a large, bright open bedroom upstairs with a great bed and a deck overlooking the yard (and the hills in the distance). The location is superb, just off Main Street but exceptionally quiet; you could barely hear anything! The cottage is within easy walking distance to the Shakespeare Festival, Lithia park with its incredible creek-side trails, the co-op grocery, and all the downtown shops. This rental is a very good deal--less expensive than a hotel room in Ashland, and you get much more for your money. Sabine herself was very helpful and responsive to any questions, and not at all intrusive. Very highly recommended; we will definitely be back!

  • We had a wonderful stay over Christmas in this cottage. Cooked Christmas dinner! Very cozy, beautiful view from the second floor balcony, right near the heart of town.

  • Sabine's cottage apartment is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Ashland. Close enough to the downtown and even the co-op that you never need to get into your car, yet far enough away that you hear no noise from the main roadway. The upstairs bedroom with its king-sized bed is huge, with a lovely french window with a view to the hills and trees, and plenty of closet and dresser space. The mattress is comfortable, though you may want to bring blankets in colder weather. The breakfast porch (completely enclosed, but with large windows) is even nicer than it appears in the website photographs--more spacious, with a stylish black table and neat placemats to match. And there's a heater out there to warm it up before breakfast. The living room couch is comfy for a romantic evening at home, and the small kitchen was all we needed for simple meals. After staying at Sabine's, which was my first Airbnb experience, I would much prefer this type of accommodation than a hotel--much more value for your money, much more comfort (you can unpack and feel at home), and lots of quiet and privacy. Maureen

My husband Dave and I are both professional artists for the last 23 years. We moved 7 years ago from Sonoma County to our Ranch in the Rogue Valley to continue our breeding operation of Andalusian and Lusitano Horses. We love animals and the beauty of the nature that surrounds us. In our younger days, before our animals tied us down, we loved traveling extensively and still do, when we get a chance. I speak fluent German, and my Italian and Spanish are rather rusty, but I am still able to communicate.
