My house has been recently refurbished in a renovated antique style. At the ground floor we have a living room, lavatory, a big kitchen, a back yard with some plants, a barbecue pit and laundry area. Upstairs we have 2 bedrooms and bathroom with an excellent shower and hair dryer.
Cable TV is available in the living room, wi-fi, smoking outside is fine, beer and wine are welcome… In the kitchen and patio you can your own special tipical barbecue.
We are close to mid-downtown, to supermarkets (there's one about a block away), a few minutes walking from the Ipiranga Museum, and I have two cats who are very kind and curious.
Buses run a few steps from the place with a nice schedule/timetable. Alternatively, you can walk about 15 minutes to the Santos-Imigrantes Metro stop (green line), which will get you to MASP and Avenida Paulista in about 20 minutes.
Before making you request, please let me know if you have any plans in Sao Paulo. I'll be more than happy to help you plan interesting things to do.
Bathroom and kitchen are shared. All the appliances will be available for you (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave, etc). I have a bike that you can borrow as well. My cats have access to the whole house except the guest bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
I'm a very open person and love to meet new people :)
The thing I like most of my neighborhood is that is really residential and traditional. It has a lot of tiny antique houses and is really good to walk around and find new places.
Respect the space as you were in your own house, don't mess up with my kitchen stuff and be nice with the cats :)
Our stay was very calm and comfortable. The house is small, but very with a very warm environment.
The neighbourhood is quiet and the transportation around is easy.
We recommend the stay!
Staying at Thais was great: the house is beautiful and full of light and the company of Thais and Felipe makes the environment really charming and cosy. Ipiranga neighbourhood is lovely, it has a lot of amazing and traditional spots and is very close from Sao Paulo center.
Super lovely couple, helped me get around, they cooked dinner for me on the first night. legends.
Thais was a wonderful host and made me feel right at home. The Ipiranga house is well-appointed and easy to get to. The room is huge and has a great little balcony with a hammock to watch the world go by. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Thais and her boyfriend are both very open, friendly and helpful and speak English really well. The house is clean, the room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The house is situated a bit outside of the centre or downtown where many of the bars are located, but I thought it was nice to live in a more domestic area. There are supermarkets and a nice bakery nearby and the metro is really easy and fast.
I had a short, but fantastic stay at Thais's house in Ipiranga. Thais and Felipe were extremely accommodating and awesome to hang out with. The house is really close to a nice park, and they both provided good advice about where to go, what to see, what to eat - not to mention fun and interesting facts about Sao Paulo and Brasil.
The house is awesome, and there are two sweet cats who are ready to hang out with you if you want to, but will leave you alone if you want them to. The bed was cushy, the shower hot, the hammock comfortable, the view interesting, and the company stellar. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Staying here definitely made my time in Sao Paulo better.
Overall a we had a good experience with Thais. She was accomodating to our additional "needs" (she let another guest who was able to come last minute spend the night on her couch so we could be together).
She helped us out on things to do, but besides the first day we didn't interact much, since we were hardly home at the same time.
The house is located in a safe neighborhood, with 15 minutes walking to the metro and a huge supermarket in 3 minutes walking - both very convenient!
The bedroom was very spacious, but felt a bit empty, since it only had a bed and a small desk. The bathroom was shared and just next to the bedroom - basically there was no issue with occupancy - but it did get quite dirty after 5 people using it for several days.
The house as such is very nice and so are the cats - just when you're in Sao Paulo in Winter bring a thick sweater - the house gets veeerrryyy cold!!!
Breakfast is DIY, but some basics were missing - luckily we had been to the supermarket the first day we arrived.
Overall a good experience! :)
Hi! I am Thaís, from São Paulo and I own a coffee shop near my house. I love to meet new people, cook, go out to dance and have some drinks, go to the movies and walk around the city doing things I was not expecting to do.
