Nice cabin in the woods. Has everything you need. Nice big screened in back porch. Patty was very quick with communications and check in was very straight forward even though we arrived very late at night. The driveway can be a bit of a hazard getting out of - it's very steep and our car bottomed out whenever we left.

My husband and I came here for a little getaway. The town of Helen was very quiet during our stay so a lot of the stores were closed, but we enjoyed getting to know some of the locals. This cabin is about a 10 minute drive outside of Helen, but we loved the location. It was easy to navigate to. Very clean & had everything we needed for a nice stay. Fast wifi too! We were able to steam Netflix. We hiked to Anna Ruby falls which was conveniently located about 5 minutes away. We loved tubing down the river as well & would recommend doing that while in Helen. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

Great view driving in. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of Helen but still close enough!

This was our first time renting a cabin and we had such a great time. Definitely glad we got a cabin instead of a hotel room for a change. It rained a lot and there was the constant sound of big rain drops hitting the metal roof that took some getting used to. All in all it was a great experience.

This is a great cabin conveniently located near Helen and Unicoi Park. We had a great experience staying here; everything was as expected, no problems whatsoever. Checking in and out could not be easier and the place was very clean. If I will be back in the area, I will definitely rent it again. Thank you, Patty.

We enjoyed a lovely and relaxing stay in this cozy cabin. It is close to Helen, and we enjoyed tubing and hiking to nearby Anna Ruby Falls during our visit. We also enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch, which was the perfect place to watch an afternoon summer rainstorm. Between the kitchen and the grill, we made steaks one night and pancakes one morning. The grill grates were a little on the rusty side and could use a good cleaning or maybe replacing. The kitchen equipment met basic needs, although the pots and pans were on the low quality side, and there was only one decent wine glass. The towels and linens were all soft and smelled as if they had been freshly laundered. We also found the wifi to be very fast. Although we didn't get a chance to enjoy the fireplace since they turn the gas pilot light off during the summer, we would like to return in the winter sometime because the fireplace is a beautiful centerpiece to this cabin. If you come in the wintertime when it's snowy or icy, I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle because the driveway is very steep and a little hairy to get in and out of even during dry conditions. Overall, we had a very nice stay, and check-in/ check-out was very easy.

Patty User ProfilePatty is a superhost.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, this Northeast Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. We've got shopping, camping, both rustic and luxury mountain cabins, restaurants, theater, recreation, romantic getaways, beautiful scenery, family activities, waterfalls, museums, history, art, fishing, tubing, golf, and more. Something for every member of the family.

Festivals and special events include a hot air balloon race, Winefest, Volksmarch, Oktoberfest and Christmas parades, Fourth of July fireworks, and Bavarian Nights of Summer. From mid-September through October, Helen hosts the longest Oktoberfest in the South. Alpenfest offers entertainment during the Holiday season from Thanksgiving through December.
