My boyfriend and I stayed for a couple nights in August so we could be close to Helen and tubing. There were no issues with getting the key. The cabin is very cute and rustic in a pretty, peaceful location. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was very relaxing. It ended up raining while we were there, but the screened patio was great for relaxing with some wine. There are also a few board and card games to play. The kitchen has all the pots/pans and utensils that you'd need to make a meal. There are a couple neighbors but you can barely see their houses. The drive in to Helen was a good 10-15 minutes on windy roads (very dark at night), so if you're drinking in town, plan for a designated driver. Over all the stay was perfect and I would be happy to stay again.
Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Thanks!
It was great! Exactly like the pictures showed! Clean and very nice. Very quiet and cozy place to stay. Loved the cabin.
The only thing, is that it is a good little drive from town, and there is not uber nor any reasonably priced taxis.
The cabin was just as we hoped. The screened back porch was perfect. My daughter and I loved the feel of being in the woods. The town of Helen was a little bit on the tourist side, but we found surrounding area wonderful. Great lunch at Bernies. Beautiful drive to Highlands for the day. We would have loved to stay longer and have come at a time when we could have enjoyed the fireplace. August is very hot but anything is better than Florida. Do you have cabins closer to Highlands or Clayton NC?
The Mountopia Cabin was just as described. Loved the layout of the cabin, very open and perfect for two people. The area was very private and secluded. Everything was in good working order. Directions for opening and closing the property were complete and accurate. We had a great stay, and would definitely rent again if we are in the area.
Lovely little cabin, nestled in the mountains. We came during the slow season, but it couldn't have been a more perfect time for us. The scenery was beautiful and the location was a relaxing environment. Patty had the cabin all clean for us along with suggestions of places to eat and shop once we arrived. It was just the right size for 2 guests and we really enjoyed warming up by the fire as well as relaxing in the jacuzzi tub. All in all, it was a great impromptu vacation. I would def recommend it to friends and family and hope we can return for a visit in the future.

About the Host, Patty
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, this Northeast Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. We've got shopping, camping, both rustic and luxury mountain cabins, restaurants, theater, recreation, romantic getaways, beautiful scenery, family activities, waterfalls, museums, history, art, fishing, tubing, golf, and more. Something for every member of the family.
Festivals and special events include a hot air balloon race, Winefest, Volksmarch, Oktoberfest and Christmas parades, Fourth of July fireworks, and Bavarian Nights of Summer. From mid-September through October, Helen hosts the longest Oktoberfest in the South. Alpenfest offers entertainment during the Holiday season from Thanksgiving through December.
