The location was 5 star and met our expectations. It was a 5 minute walk to the Grove & Farmers Market and even closer to a huge supermarket.
The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well fitted out although We lacked matches to light the stove and the lighting in the kitchen was poor at night.
Security was an issue and although an extra lock was put on the back door at our request. However these doors were opened by someone and left unlocked.
The off street car park was difficult to get into and turn around with a slightly larger car. There was a tree that caused a lot of trouble getting into the car park.
I stayed here from 12/28 to 1/2 during my visit to LA, and the unit had great value in its location for such an affordable price compared to a hotel. The best aspects of this rental were convenience, and Angie's responsiveness and professionalism.
I was looking for a place close to both West Hollywood as well as downtown since those were the two places I was visiting. The unit was relatively clean and well-maintained. Location was very convenient as it was a 10 minute walk from the Grove, Beverly Center, and Trader Joe's (and more). There was one off-street parking spot as well as non-permit street parking (and I always found parking within 2 blocks). Two sets of washers and dryers were available, and immediately adjacent to this unit.
Ever since my first inquiry about this rental, Angie has always responded within the hour if not within minutes. When I checked into the rental, there were a few minor maintenance issues (as one normally expects from apartment complexes in general), but as soon as I e-mailed her, Angie sent a maintenance person immediately!
The only downside might be if you are a very light sleeper. You can easily hear people walking about in the unit above and in the adjacent hallways, although this is only occasional. In general this wasn't a problem for me as I sleep with earplugs. The neighborhood itself was pretty quiet as it was residential and half a block away from the storefronts on Beverly Blvd.
I would definitely stay here again because of such a positive experience, and would look at other properties that Angie manages. Her quick responses, politeness, and professionalism definitely sets her above the rest!
Apartment was clean, spacious and in a great location. A few issues with heating & plumbing but these were promptly attended to. Would happily stay here again.
Love this location, I have stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs apartments on different occasions. If you are deciding between the 2, the upstairs is quieter if you are a light sleeper, but downstairs is preferred by me as I have a child and like to avoid stairs with a stroller. I will be back!
We had a good time at this apartment, it is ideal for four people. The location is great. Angie was very responsive and helpful. As noted in previous comments, the parking is a bit tight.
The flat was not the same as the ones in the pictures which was a bit disappointing to start with.
The location was perfect (central) but there were quite a few glitches that made our stay less than perfect. The number provided for Angie did not work and as soon as we walked in the door knob fell off. I've tried for two days to get in touch to get it fixed but it was never fixed in the end. The door was easier to open after a handy man came twice but it took me a few calls/emails to get it sorted. It would have been useful to have a little "guide" on how things work in the flat (washing machine etc), and the flat had only one small mirror in the bathroom and no hand soap was provided at all.
Two panes of the windows were broken and it got quite cold in the evening because of this.
The neighbours upstairs are ridiculously loud and were up well past 1am most nights, at times until 4am talking, laughing and coughing. Something perhaps the landlord could have a chat about as it could put off future guests!
The flat has tons of potential, it just needs to be looked after or perhaps renovated slightly to make it up to standard.
Overall a cheap/convenient stay, but am unsure I would return.
Great place and location!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have gone better. I didn't get to meet Angie, but that's because everything was so easy, I didn't have to contact her or ask for anything else. Angie's place is a huge 2BR apartment that comfortably sleep 6-8 people. Free off-street parking and free internet as well! I came out for business and this was way more space than I needed, but the price and location were amazing so it was a really great deal for me. Next time I come to LA, I'll be looking up Angie again to see if her place is available. I was so pleased, others at our office are going to start renting it for other business travelers!
very nice apt. really recommended!!
