Check In
  • Once you have selected the beautiful island of Sicily, choose Dan's place! Not only is the accommodation first class but your host is multilingue, extensively well traveled, and has an in-depth expertise in all local wonders = gastronomy, architecture, perfect running paths, and the best touristic highlights. This is - in ultimo- Airbnb at its best. Mille mercis Dan.

  • This was my very first airbnb booking and it was great ! Dan and his mom make a dynamic team. The room and bathroom were spotless. I arrived late and she was there to let me in and provided me with all the information I needed. Breakfast was ready by 7 am everyday. Dan was helpful with all kinds of information, tips, direction, and what local food to eat. Grazie mille !

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Dan's B&B. The room was very clean. Dan was a great host, very accessible and was great to chat with! Maps, train times, bus times were all provided which was very useful. The B&B is not in the main city centre but there is a bus stop close by which was very handy since we didn't want to drive a car on the busy Italian roads! The breakfast Dan provided for us usually filled our stomachs until the evening, he left crackers and peaches which we took with us to munch on during the day. I would recommend staying with Dan, great host and a real genuine guy!

  • We started our sicily journey at Dan´s B&B. We had a car so it was no problem to get there from Catania airport, but it was very helpful to have a GPS. Without a car the location is not easy to reach. We wanted to do tours in the sourrounding area. For that it was perfect. Acireale isn´t far and it is also possible to visit the Etna from there. Dan gave us good tips and was very friendly and polite. He also knows english fluently. The room is exactly as shown on the pictures. Very clean, much space and a balcony. You have your own freezer and Dan brings Breakfast to the door, so you can have it whenever you like on your balkony. The Bathroom is also clean. The room doesn´t have aircondition but a ventilator, this was ok. Good place to stay

  • Location first - this tiny local town is in between Catania and Acireale. So, if you are looking for transport convenience and loads of restaurants and entertainment nearby, this is NOT the place.
However, if you are looking for a tourist-free local place to stay, then this is the perfect place to be! And that's why I picked this place at the beginning.
If you are not driving, bus is probably the only and best bet for moving around. Therefore you need to count some transportation time to and leave this lovely place.
Though we just met Dan for a afternoon as he was having a trip, we could feel the hospitality and his knowledge about his area and tourist information.
The room and washroom is spotless. Thumbs up!

  • Dan is very helpful and also really knowledgeable about Sicilian architecture. He gave us lots of information about Catania and other places we visited.
The room was spacious and everything was as shown in the photos, but we did find navigating around the local area very difficult, in spite of Dan's best efforts. Next time we'll rent a GPS to go with the car!

  • Dan was an amazing host! Very courteous and helpful, clever and he had very good advice about places that I should visit. In fact, he had a whole iterinary prepared which I found to be the kind of thing I could adapt for the guests I host. The room was as beautiful as it was described on the posting, and his family very kind (his mum picked me up from the stop when I couldn't find my way :).
We had alot of fun together, and I would definitely stay at his the next time I'm in Catania. Dan, keep on keeping it real ;-)

  • My husband and I really enjoyed and appreciated our stay at Dan's home in Catania . He was very friendly and helpful .
He make us feel very welcome and not lost. Dan has great information about where to go? , how to move in there? where to eat.? and more. He gave us maps and even rides to the train ( drop us off and pick up us)
it is a little hard to find out how to get to the B&B but Dan offers an extra service and will pick you up from the airport for a little charge ( I highly recommend to take this service) it is cheaper than a taxi and well worth it .
We didn't bring a phone to Italy and Dan lent us his cell phone so we could be in touch in case of emergencies .( very cool )
We had yummy breakfast and great showers with hot water.

  • Dan was incredibly helpful and has a great knowledge of English. He help us with our luggage and suggested spots for us to visit in the area.
Maps and local inforamtion were waiting for us in the room.
Breakfast was adequate (cereal, brioche & coffee/tea).
Room was spotless and free parking was available on the street.

  • Dan and his family were amazing, Dan showed us all the places to visit, even took us up to Taormina and that was very speical place. He dropped us to the station, and even pick us up. I found it nice staying in a smaller friendly village than the big city of Catania . We found traveling into Catania by bus or train easy. The room was large with a very nice bathroom. We hope Dan will visit us in Australia. Thanks once again for the best time Sue and Alf.
