The neighborhood is very nice. It's a town home community, so very safe and peaceful. The community is at the end of the street, so there is no through traffic. There is a big river flowing right beside, and you can take a stroll watching a beautiful sunset on the river.
The location is really amazing. Costco, Hillsdale Shopping Center, Safeway, Freeway 101, Whole Foods, San Mateo downtown are all nearby (please refer to the map). I am very pleased to have chosen to stay in Sung's place. It exceeded my needs for studying. All of what the photo and info written on the webpage are accurate. The information that I can add into is the hospitality of the family is very well accommodating. Also the view and experience along the river/creek is fascinating from their deck during the morning. Overall, I am grateful to the family in one way I was able to have peace of mind while preparing for my exams. Until next time!
Sung and his family have been awesome people, extremely available and kind nothwistanding having just had a newborn, and so being very busy they always worried if everything was fine.
Place is very quite and has a wonderful relaxing view.
Room is very pretty with comfortable bed and big closet, having your own mini fridge comes very handful. Room is in ground floor so if you have heavy luggage it is ideal.
Very respectful of your privacy, I definitely recommend them to anybody.
Bus stop is just a couple minute walk, but if you like walking first food market is a little more than 5 mins, while Wholefood, restaurants and the gym are about 20 mins walk. Bus will also get you to Hillsdale Caltrain station if you need.
My host and his family are very friendly people. They provided everything I need and made my stay very convenient. The listing is very accurate. There is enough space for me to park my car in their driveway without blocking their car in and out. The neighborhood is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. I could take a walk in the evening and felt safe.
I enjoyed everyday staying Sung's place. Sung, his wife and their cute daughter are super nice. Although I did not have too much time chatting with Sung and his wife, I felt like coming back home driving back to Sung's place after the hussle. Thank you, Sung!
I had an incredibly wonderful time staying with Sung and his lovely family. The room was clean, and complete with all the amenities described in the post- not to mention a few extras Sung provided to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I stayed here for a month while searching for permanent housing, and the location was great- close enough to public transport and beautiful water views. 10/10 would recommend staying here to my own friends/family.

About the Host, Sung
I am one of the early adopters of Airbnb. My wife and I frequently plan our get-away vacations with Airbnb. It always worked like a charm. I wanted to share such experiences with other travelers and started hosting as well. It's been really great so far.
I am originally from Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Bay Area about 6 years ago. Most recently worked at Oracle as Product Manager, and have done a mobile gaming startup before. I enjoy golfing, swimming, hiking, and cycling.
