Very nice and remote location. Talulah and her husband Keith made me feel very welcome in their home, they even invited me for dinner! (for a tiny fee)The house is filled with Talulah's art (which is amazing) and a very laid back atmosphere. I would definately recommend staying here, but only if you have your own transportation and don't mind (or even love) being off the beaten track a little. I would definately come back if in the area!
Talulah and Keith are lovely Accommodating hosts. I had a really great time staying in their house. I would definitely stay with them again. Highly recommended.
Very very Nice place with lovely people....a Nice Time in zen atmosphère .beautifull house and forest..a perfect place for relax ,good food and fun...love....5 stars
Talulah and her husband have a wonderful B&B, excellent service, and we especially appreciated that they anticipated we might need dinner since we got in late. What's not to like about an artist and a poet couple running a country B&B?
A very warm and friendly welcome, despite the lateness of our arrival. We had a lovely meal when we did arrive.
An interesting and characterful couple - we talked art and poetry. We enjoyed the dogs and the donkeys.
Mountain Rd. is very long and becomes an unsealed road. Don't give up - you will get there!
I had such a great time. The Art Studio is the perfect nature getaway !
I stayed here as a stopover between the Coromandel peninsula and Taupo/ Turangi. This is a remote location and you will need to travel a couple stretches of gravel road to reach it, but it is right next to a national park that is a Kiwi zone (you might hear Kiwi birds) and great walks. Talulah and Keith were friendly and gracious hosts, even providing dinner in the evening and morning coffee. The room was quiet, comfortable and the bath was spotless.
It was beautiful!!! Very peaceful, calming and clean stay. The family is very kind, they even prepared us a diner the night we came. We already miss everybody, even two dogs Penny, Harry and two lovely donkeys. From their house there is starting point of two really nice bush walks and a beautiful bird orkestra in the forest nearby. Thank you and we wish you all the best!
Talulah and Keith are very friendly hosts. Talulah is a fantastic cook! The house is lovely and full of Talulah's beautiful artwork. Beautiful bush-walks, great scenery. I highly recommend them!
