The space
Right at the base of Ohayo Mountain, we are in the heart of the Catskills and very centrally located allowing easy access to anything from shopping malls to peaceful stream-side picnics. The high cathedral ceilings and numerous cozy common spaces in this spacious two-story home offer the peace and quiet you've been craving. We are just off Route 28 along Old route 28, the gateway to the Catskills. Please note the house is on a property with other homes. Although quiet and peaceful, it is not isolated. You have the entire home to yourself, but may see some very friendly neighbors outside!
Guest access
You'll have the place to yourselves, so you have access to everything in the home!
The kitchen has everything you need to make a banquet for 6 + or a quiet meal for 2. Pots and pans, prep supplies, cooking and eating utensils, Dinnerware, wine and water glasses, plus plastic options for the kids. We supply coffee, many varieties of tea, and hot cocoa. We have a keurig coffee maker and k cups as well as a drip coffee maker and ground coffee. There is olive oil, cooking spray, spices, half & half and lots of condiments. If you don’t see something you need, just ask. We live next door and may have it!
The Gym offers several exercise units, small hand held weights and a yoga mat.
The library houses a large collection of old and new books on every subject for all ages. There are also two desks near outlets for digital nomads.
There are 3 full length closets with lots of hangers and plenty of dresser space. There is an iron for your use.
Outside there is a big backyard and small deck for lounging and play.
We have an outdoor fire pit and a gas grill for our guests and outdoor tables and chairs.
Apologies, but the indoor fireplace is not operable.
Other things to note
We have contactless entry. We leave the door open and there are 2 keys hanging inside so you can lock up when you go out. Please remember to replace them after your stay. We have a well with an ultra violet purification system and a filter. When there are heavy rains there may be an odor of sulphur, but the water is absolutely safe to drink. If you have any concerns, questions or requests, please contact us immediately. We are quick to respond and will do anything we can to make your stay enjoyable. We offer early check in and late check out at no extra charge- just let us know what you need so we can accommodate you.
