A bedroom is offered in an historic home built in 1796 and listed with two historical societies. The home is situated in a residential area of the downtown historic district and is a five-minute walk from cobblestoned Main Street.
The bedroom is 11' X 12' and contains one double bed, two bureaus, two chairs and a variety of needlepoint works and other art as wall hangings. The room has an en suite bathroom with shower/tub; and a closet.
The four windows in the bedroom offer views of the home's garden and of the colonial residences surrounding it and is situated at the rear of the home which offers quiet.
Wireless internet is provided. A light breakfast of coffee, juice and toast is included. The room is not equipped with a television or fridge. It is equipped with a fan, space heater, alarm clock and hair dryer.

It is a living colonial museum. The house is located in the core historic district of the Town of Nantucket. It is a ten-fifteen minute walk from the docks, or a ten-minute cab ride from the airport. Main Street is a five-minute walk.
Buses are a five-minute walk from the house. Cabs can be called if need be. Bicycle rental shops are also nearby.
Other Things to Note
If you like the room and receive a pre approval from the host, it is only an acknowledgement that the room is available for the requested dates. A person MUST then take the next step and provide a credit card to the site to reserve the room.
Check-in time other than precisely at 2:00 p.m. must be arranged prior to arrival. If not, the guest may find himself locked out until the owner returns. Guests enter and exit through the garden door (not the front door) at the rear of the home which is accessed through the driveway gate. Quiet must be maintained after 10:00 pm because of the location of the home in a residential neighborhood. Smoking is not permitted except in the garden.
Beach towels are available by request. Bathroom towels must remain in the room. Checkout time is strict, but luggage may be left in the shed after 10:00 a.m. should a guest wish to remain on the Island for the day. No guests of guests are allowed anywhere on the property.
