Did you ever have a 25 m. long houseboat to yourselves? A great holiday-experience! My ship is comfortable, warm and cosy. I'll do my best to make you feel welcome and I bet you'll feel right at home! Book and be the (temporary) captain!

Living on a boat primitive? Surey NOT! Central heating, a woodstove, shower, kitchen, living room, bedroom and even a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher! And it gets even better: you'll have the whole ship to yourselves. Supermarkets are around the corner, nice restaurants at less than 2 mins. walk.
The feeling of actually living inside the belly of this 100-year old steel ship will be an unforgettable holiday-memory! When the weather is nice you can sunbathe on my wooden terrace next to the boat. Or sit in the grass under the big chestnut tree. Or even take a dive of the boat and swim in the canal!
I do, in summer… And my neighbors do...
The water is clean and fresh.

Be nice to my cat Boeleke in the mean while...:)
Park your car near my ship, it's free.
You'll be living on 10 walking minutes of the historic city centre, bus to the center/station stops on a 1 minute walk from my boat.
Lots of nice walks, beautiful nature, hundreds of restaurants, bars, beautiful museums... You'll see. Groningen will be worth your wile!

There's one bedroom with a double bed and a third person could sleep on the on the comfortable couchbed in the living room. There's even a small cozy caravan in my garden for someone who would like to have some more privacy…!
Just one thing; you'll need to take care of my sweet cat Boeleke, who lives here, also when I'm away. Food twice a day and of course some stroking...

I won't be living in the boat whilst you're there, but I won't be far away. If you need help or have questions; just call!

Nice and quiet with all amenities, but in the mean time only 5 mins. from the bustling city centre with all kinds of restaurants and bars... Groningen is the YOUNGEST town of Holland, because of its' students… there is always a party going on somewhere… You'll live in a quiet neighborhood, on the verge of the city centre.

Busstops at 1 minute walk, train station at 10 minutes by bus.. Parking near my boat is safe and FREE...

I can, most of the times, pick you up at the trainstation if you like…:)
For free of course...

  • Had a wonderful time at Lydia's place. Lydia was very helpful and even put us in touch with her friend Rob who was very helpful in assisting us with our trip to aside for the TT. We loved the houseboat, very relaxing clean & comfortable. Would definitely recommend & plan on staying there again!

    Thank you Lydia!!!

  • We had a great stay at Lydia's place. The boat is spacious and comfy. And although my boyfriend has never been a cat person, he quickly bonded with the super weet cat that comes with the boat :)
The terrace is a nice plus!

Alles da was das Herz begehrt. Gerne wieder! :D
