We usually rent this smaller room in our apartment, but we're also renting the whole apartment (including our room, the two bedrooms in total) in the following dates:
May 20th, 2015, to May 31st, 2015.
Check out the link for the whole apartment here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/767990
(Two things: 1- If you are beginning to use Airbnb, please fill out your profile with the most information possible, and include a photo of yourself, or we will most likely reject your inquiry. 2- Please read this listing before asking questions, most of the answers we give to people are actually here in detail. Thanks!)
We have a two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, in the northernmost section of Bed-Stuy, close to the border with Williamsburg and Bushwick. The place is 4 blocks away from the Flushing Av. stop in the JMZ lines (about a 5 minute walk, and then a four-stop ride to the Lower East Side in Manhattan), and 2 blocks away from the Flushing Av. stop in the G train (that takes you to South Brooklyn, or Queens, or also combines with the L train to go to Manhattan).
The neighborhood is very mixed and mostly residential, with families and young people. It is a short walk (around 15 min) or two-stop train ride to Williamsburg, where you can find many bars, coffee shops and stores.
The apartment is in the 4th floor (no elevator) of a renovated building. We have a fully equipped kitchen and a dining/living room that you can use. Your room is a mid-small space, that includes a full size double bed (with some empty drawers for your clothes), a shelf and a chair, and also a heater or an air conditioner (depending on the season and time of the year). It has a window with lots of light, and also some closet space. My boyfriend lives with me in our room, your are renting a separate and private room with its own door. We both admin the bookings so you'll be in touch with one of us two.
(As of December 2013 we bought a brand new high quality mattress for the room to make your stay even better).
You are allowed to use all the kitchen tools for cooking and you get some storage room and space in the fridge, so you can make yourself at home. There is one bathroom that we share with you, and there is bedding and towels available so you don't have to bring them. There is also a laundry room in the building's basement, that costs $2 per load for washing, and $2 for drying, (it only takes ¢25 coins and you need to bring your own detergent).
No smoking or illegal drugs are allowed.
We are very laid back, quiet and tidy, which is how we like to keep the place (you need to clean everything in the kitchen right after you have used it, and collaborate with separating your trash from recycling, in designated bins, and be respectful in general). We have rented out the room often to people we know and different contacts, having great experiences throughout.
My friend and I rented the room for 2 nights and it was just perfect. The hosts are very nice and reliable. The appartment is clean and the decoration is gorgeous! The room is fine for 2 ppl and the bed is very comfy. It's 5 minutes from the subway station. It's a little bit far to walk to Greenpoint (bars & awesome restaurants), but there's City bikes, buses and subway so it's not a problem. I would totally recommend this place to everyone.
Omar and Martin were great hosts ! I loved the time I spent at their place. They made me feel me very welcome and comfortable, and were very available at all times. Their flat is exactly as described and shown in the ad, and only a few minutes away from the nearest subway. I would totally recommend staying there -- my only regret is that I wasn't able to spend more time there!
Omar and his partner, Martín, were very hospitable. Both were available to answer questions and were accommodating when it came to our check in and check out times. The apartment was clean, cozy, and filled with personality and charm. Our room was small, as expected, but had a very comfortable bed, plenty of outlets, and devoid of street noise. The apartment is accessible by two metro stops only a few blocks away, which made getting around town relatively easy. I highly recommend this apartment for its charm, cleanness, and gracious hosts.
We had a great experience staying at Omar's place. Him and his boyfriend were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. The place is exactly as pictured - bright, clean, cute and homey. We would definitely recommend staying here!
Omar's place was great - very clean and totally lived up to the photos. It was very laid back, which was perfect for us. Thanks for a great stay.
It was fantastic staying at Omar's place. He had all the amenities we needed. Omar was a great and flexible host that made our stay feel very welcomed.
I was a pleasure staying with Omar and his partner! They are both very nice and friendly people. Communication was easy, and they are available to answer questions about the apartment and the neighborhood. The place is very close walking distance from a subway station. The apartment itself is super clean and neat. Definitely recommended!
