Our stay at Surf Song on Tybee Island was fabulous. We had reserved the Sand Dollar Room, which is very nice, but opted to move to the Starfish Room which is beautiful and a little larger. Surf Song is housed in one of othe former officer's homes in the historic Fort Screvin area of Tybee Island. Furnished in antiques, the home has a feel of history but has been updated so that it has all of the comforts for today.
Out hostess, Sherry, greated us with tea and pineapple upside down cake. Later, she served chocolate covered strawberries, which were incredible. Breakfast, prepared by Patty, was spectacular with a yogurt parfait to start followed by pancakes dressed with fresh blueberry and cinnamon syrup.
The home located in a quiet neighorhood and is a short walk from the beach and the Tybee Lighthouse. Dining and shopping are also within walking distance.
We were wonderfully pleased with our stay and will likely return.
