  • Michelangelo suggested local public vaporetto from railway station and meet us at the dock to guide and help with luggage. He continued to be a thoughtful host even catering for gluten and dairy free diets. He proved a really helpful map, suggested some great walks and even places where we could buy gluten free pizzas. Wonderfully interesting home as described and well positioned in very quiet area of Venice. Definitely recommend

The hosts - Michelangelo and his grandmother - are very nice people, very helpful with whatever you might need and interesting discussion partners as well. The tipps Michelangelo gave us for sightseeing, eating and drinking all were perfect, so dont hesitate to ask him for advise. all in all a really wonderful stay in Venice, we'll surely be back at the B&B Michelangelo!

  • We enjoyed our stay in Venice and particularly in the place of Michelangelo. The house is very well located, in a nice neighborhood, at 15 minutes walk from the place San Marco. The room is spacious and clean, but we didn't succeed to receive internet from the room (but it doesn't matter there is plenty things to do in Venice rather than surfing on the internet). Michelangelo and his grandmother were always very nice and sympathetic, and very compliant. I recommend this place!

  • Michelangelo B&B, Michelangelo himself, Nonna Elena, and Gatta Taitu' are all extraordinary hosts. Michelangelo went out of his way to very graciously accommodate our last minute change of plans, Nonna made an amazing breakfast and I could have talk to her for another 3 hours while Michelangelo run out for freshly baked brioches, Taitu' said "miao" on our way out.
The palazzetto is beautiful, quiet and yet close to everything, rooms are spotless and very private, beds are perfect. Michelangelo recommendation for dinner was exactly what we needed... what more I can say? Highly recommended !!

  • We have been enjoyed our staying at Michelangelo B&B very much. The house and the description of the services truly reflect the reality. We received a warm welcome to Venice from Michelangelo and his wisdom grandmother. They have been helpful with interesting suggestions about where to go to eat, how to move fast around the islands and what really deserve to be seen and visited. They were always flexible and very warm with us. Breakfast was excellent. Our doudle room was large, comfortable bed and linen. They provide also WI-FI, bath robes and towels, bath amenities, hair-dryer, 2 extra pillows, LCD TV screen. Very comfortable. Very advisable if somebody wants to share with a Venetian family its staying. We will come again!! Giovanni and Marta.

  • If you go to Venice, stay at Michelangelo's place! He rents nice furnished bedrooms in a wonderful antique Venetian palazzo and is the perfect host! All places he recommended us (for having lunch, dinner, and some drinks) were really good choices, and his suggestions were truly helpful. Don't miss this opportunity, and thank you again, Michelangelo! Grazie mille!

  • There is no reason to stay at a hotel if you can stay at Michelangelo's place and here is why

    1. As clean as 5 stars hotel
    2. The cultural experience you get while staying at Michelangelo's place is a plus because you get to spend time with 2 authentic Italian people which are Michelangelo's and his lovely Grandma.
    3. Amazing breakfast which will can keep you running for days!
    4. Really comfortable beds.
    5. Towels and linens more than you need
    6. Michelangelo came to pick us from the nearest famous square, he gave us a map with the best tour around the city.

I would give Michelangelo an award for the best host on airbnb.

Ciao David, thank you very much for the wonderful review, I really hope see you soon in Venice!

  • Michelangelo was very helpful. Because of a delayed flight, we ended up arriving at about 2 AM, and Michelangelo nicely met us at the boat taxi stop and walked us to the place. He couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was prepared every morning and the neighborhood is extremely charming and not all touristy... but close enough to walk to everything.

The only little downside is that the internet is slow and spotty at times. Other than that, the place is a perfect 10 for the price.

    December 2013
    Response from Michelangelo:

Absolutely, we apologize and will resolve the little downside.

  • Michelangelo and his Grandmother were excellent hosts. I've never felt more catered to. Michelangelo was incredibly informative and and helpful in referring special restaurants and wine bars in the city. His kindness radiates. The B&B is beautiful and much more then I ever expected. It's ideally located in the heart of Venice. Fantastic restaurants, shops, museums, and basilicas all within a short walking distance. Thank you so much! Words cannot describe our incredible experience. Thank you!

B&B Michelangelo, Apartments Michelangelo, Antlos S.r.l., Dalla Pietà Yachts S.r.l.
I was born and raised in Venice. Since my childhood I have upheld the philosophies of my family: the love for nature, macrobiotic and vegetarian nutrition, yoga, and meditation. I found my true identity through my experience with the sea, I love sailing and all water sports. After the degree at the Art Institute of Venice, I worked for five years (until the end of 2007) as After Sail Manager - Captain Test Pilot for a shipyard renowned for its production of yachts. After a fantastic experience working for five years around whole of Europe, I decided to change my life, living more in my home town. So, since 2008 I dedicated myself to management the holiday apartments that my family owns. I love to welcome my guests in Venice, and I'm really happy to be able to reveal the secrets of my city. I live with my grandmother on the second and top floors of a classic Venetian building owned by the family for over fifty years, where at the beginning of September 2013 we opened a new truly authentic Bed and Breakfast. I'm sure the sharing of my house will certainly be a wonderful experience to meet new people from all over the world and I hope to help me to improve my English. Recently I co-founded Antlos with my best friend, the international upcoming marketplace for boat and yacht bookings, that will allow anyone to find, compare, rent and share any kind of vessel, anywhere in the world. Now the Antlos team is committed to seeking funding from an angel investor, private equity or venture capital to develop the project. When I can, I love travel around the world to practice my favorite sport: kitesurfing! I really like also windsurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, diving, swimming, running, cycling, skiing, yoga, art, golf, vegetarian food, animals, environment protection, social networking. I know, I have too many hobbies! :)
