To reach the house from Piazzale Roma bus station, train station Santa Lucia, or by Tronchetto garage, you can choose one of two different routes, the fastest with line 5 (from Tronchetto garage line 2) to Zattere, or the most picturesque and most scenic route that runs through the tourist Grand Canal is line 1 or line 2 to Accademia. Prompted a proper respect for the house, equipment and supplies, as well as of course in relation to the neighbors and all the other people who leave in the building. Tranquility and peace are fundamental to good relations especially during times of rest. Smoking is not permitted inside the property, if desired you will receive an ashtray to smoke outside in the garden. There is already a cat called Taitù, unfortunately for this reason we do not allow pets.
We stayed in Michelangelo's place for our Venice trip and this place is amazing. The place is a Venetian style house with a wonderful garden, spacious rooms and clean bathroom. As for the host, Michelangelo is an awesome host, very helpful and always tells us about good restaurants and sites to visit. The breakfast provided is delicious (especially the scramble eggs!! A must try). This makes our Venice trip very enjoyable and would definitely stay in this place again when visiting Venice. Highly recommended.
Fantastic all round love the place. Traditional and authentic. Host was most understanding and so helpful. Perfect spot in central Venice but quiet as well. Amazing garden! Thanks very much indeed and all the best. H
Michelangelo's place is lovely and clean and large. He and went out of his way to make us comfortable and make sure we had a good time in Venice. He checked in with us every day at breakfast and answered any questions we had about how to get where we were going or what we planned to see that day. He also went above and beyond by helping us find a wonderful dinner reservation in our price range for New Year's Eve when everyplace in the city was booked up.
Many people I had talked to before my trip warned me that they had a bad time in Venice and fell into lots of tourist traps. For us it was the trip of a life time and we through the city was beautiful and amazing. I think Michelangelo's invaluable knowledge of the city really changed our experience.
The house is in one of the few non touristy parts of venice and gives you at taste of the city as the locals see it. But the key attractions are all within a short walk. There are also several good less touristy restaurants and shops in the area.
Michelangelo is a very nice and considerate host. He picked us up at the water bus station and prepared all related information include a wonderful map for us to discover Venice.
The house is just as beautiful as we saw in the picture. Very quiet with a convenient position to go all the major attractions quickly. We would absolutely recommend it to our friends when they visit Venice.
The host made us feel very welcome. It was a wonderful experience. Michelangelo recommended restaurants which were excellent. We even went back to the same restaurant twice! He also advised us To explore the three islands: murano burano and torchelli. We never would have known about this if Michelangelo hadn't spent his time with us on a Sunday afternoon. He even set up a special gondola ride one evening. Thank you for everything Michelangelo. We would live to come back to venice and visit you again.

About the Host, Michelangelo
I was born and raised in Venice. Since my childhood I have upheld the philosophies of my family: the love for nature, macrobiotic and vegetarian nutrition, yoga, and meditation. I found my true identity through my experience with the sea, I love sailing and all water sports. After the degree at the Art Institute of Venice, I worked for five years (until the end of 2007) as After Sales Manager - Captain Test Pilot for a shipyard renowned for its production of yachts.
After a fantastic experience working for five years around whole of Europe, I decided to change my life, living more in my home town. So, since 2008 I dedicated myself to management the holiday apartments that my family owns. I love to welcome my guests in Venice, and I'm really happy to be able to reveal the secrets of my city.
I live with my grandmother on the second and top floors of a classic Venetian building owned by the family for over fifty years, where at the beginning of September 2013 we opened a new truly authentic Bed and Breakfast. I'm sure the sharing of my house will certainly be a wonderful experience to meet new people from all over the world and I hope to help me to improve my English.
Recently I co-founded Antlos with my best friend, the marketplace for boat and yacht holidays with verified skippers. The service allow anyone to find, compare, rent and share any kind of vessel, anywhere in the world. Currently the startup is based in H-FARM Ventures, the best Italian Incubator located 20 minutes away from Venice.
When I can, I love travel around the world to practice my favorite sport: kitesurfing! I really like also windsurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, diving, swimming, running, cycling, skiing, yoga, art, golf, tennis, vegetarian food, animals, environment protection, social networking. I know, I have too many hobbies! :)
