Experience the real fairy-chimney rooms at Cave Hotel Saksagan a family run BnB in Goreme / Cappadocia.
The Fairy-Chimney rooms of Cave Hotel Saksagan are located in a real fairy chimney. These rooms are carved in to rock hundreds of years ago and restored when the house was being converted to hotel.
These rooms keep the temprature constant around 18 centigrade degrees during the year. So these rooms are cooler in summer and warmer in winter. That's why we name them "rooms with natural air condition".
As of our all other rooms, fairy chimney rooms have central heating, private shower and bathroom with 24 hours hot water, digital satellite TV, tea and coffee sets, kettle, slippers, hair dryer, soaps, shower jels, shampoo, towels and WI-FI.
These rooms also have fireplace and working desk.
The view of fairy chimney rooms is also fascinating. You will have the fabulous Goreme Valley view from the window or balcony as well as the garden view of the hotel. Breakfast and drinks are also served on the balcony or terrace with this view.
First off, the city of Cappadocia was an amazing experience in itself. The experience wouldn't have happened as smoothly without Numan, his team at BnB Saksagan and their hospitality.
There are tons of cave hotels/bnbs/apartments in Goreme. Saksagan was in a very convenient location, just a 5 min walk max to the bus station (you can take a bus to other cities/excursions like nevsehir/underground city in Derinkuyu etc.) and to other souvenir shops and restaurants. My friend and I didn't know what to expect about living in a cave for two nights, but it was comfy! I recall us having the most comfortable stay there in comparison to our other accommodation throughout our stay in Turkey. Our two-bedoom was clean and had its own bathroom with an enclosed shower and warm water. In addition, it was peaceful, quiet and surprisingly did not get warm since there was no AC. Things that stood out to me from our stay at Saksagan was the slippers provided, rooms, which were cleaned each day (added plus) and the service. Numan scheduled a shuttle which picked us up from and dropped us off at the nevsehir airport (20 lira per person). He also scheduled activities for us such as, a hot air balloon ride, horse riding tour and whirling dervishes (which by the way was interesting...) according to our budget. Numan gave us amazing and honest restaurant recommendations like "fat boys" (the claypot lamb was great and I recommend Noori as your waiter) and "cafe shafak" (great coffee and scrambled eggs). Numan was super chill, laidback and accommodating (although sometimes I wasn't sure if he got annoyed of us because who wouldn't with the amount of questions we asked). The only drawback to the place was that the wifi was a bit dodgy. We could hardly access it from our room, but it was accessible from the lobby.
Numan warmly greeted us as we arrived to the BnB from the shuttle van he arranged for us the day before from the airport. Having been born and raised in Cappadocia, Numan has a wealth of information to share with others and always left you with a smile. He and his staff were gracious and kind hosts which made our experience so enjoyable. Our room was cosy and the outside spaces were beautifuly kept. We had a lovely and inspiring time in Goreme exploring the village and checking out its incredible views. Cave Hotel Saksagan was a great place to come back to. We have nothing but positive things to say about our stay and would highly recommend it to others.
Merci à Numan. Agréable et serviable, il nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre séjour.
Hôtel sans prétention et avec beaucoup de charme. à 1 à 2 min à pied du centre de Göreme. Chambre propre.
Je recommande vivement.
Numan is a nice handsome man，his room is clean、 warm and comfortable like him。 He help me a lot。（include ：arrage hot-air ballon、give me advice about my travel line、sent me and my mum to bus station……）thank you so much！
Our stay with Numan was phenomenal. He was super helpful, going out of his way to make sure we had a great stay (which we did). The room and hotel itself were nice, clean and very pretty with a nice rooftop area perfect for a late coffee. All the staff were helpful and kind and breakfast was great. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Numan has great recommendations and tips and will help you set up anything you would like to do during your stay. Good location nice and close to some nice hikes, the town center and the open air museum. Perfect choice... So glad we stayed! :)
