This large room is in a beautifully maintained home on Irvington Rd. Park your car in the drive and you are within walking distance of Strong/UR, Highland Hospital or short drive to RIT. Enjoy tea or coffee the next morning in a large kitchen.
The street is quiet and the house is convenient to everything. Parking is off-street and makes an easy to walk to Strong/UR. Everything is there to make yourself at home.
Living Room, Dining Room, Back Porch (during summer months), Laundry, Wi-Fi, Bicycles for a nice ride along the Genessee River Bike Trail or Erie Canal.
Interaction with Guests
It is best to have a car, but there is bus service at the top of the street on Mt. Hope Ave. If you are authorized to use the UR bus lines, these bus stops are only a couple of blocks away.
This is a 'good karma' kind of a house. Everyone takes care of it and are kind to one another.
Although Amanda wasn't there, my stay went great. She describes the house as a "good karma house" and I would agree! The room was large and comfortable and there were no issues at all with sharing the bathroom with other house residents. The location is great and it was very easy to get to my meetings downtown. Very convenient. The neighborhood was quiet. It was nice to have a door lock on my room. I would definitely stay there again.
I spent an entire summer living in Amanda's place and the experience really couldn't have been better. The house is very comfortable and the neighborhood is very nice. The house is right next to the University of Rochester and thus the neighborhood primarily consists of families and graduate students (medical or business). You are also within walking distance (0.5M) of new developments including Starbucks, Brueggers, Chipotle, and others. Amanda is very welcoming and was a gracious host. She helped get me acclimated to the Rochester area quickly and pointed me in the direction of some great activities, restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend her place!
I highly recommend Amanda's place. It's located on a lovely, quiet street, yet convenient to many amenities. Amanda is an attentive and gracious host and was a good resource for places to go in Rochester. We had a wonderful stay!

I am a composer/playwright ... AND live between Rochester, NY and Spanaway, WA ... you can easily find me at my blog by typing in my name and "composer" in a search ... When I am on the East Coast, I live near the U of R in a four-bedroom house. When I am on the West Coast, I live near PLU in a three-bedroom house.
My daughter went off to college this year at Simon's Rock and now I have three rooms to do something with ... I thought it might be fun to try airbnb and meet some interesting people.
