Our stay was absolutely fabulous! The pool, the privacy, the gorgeous environment, the wild life... What a treat.
The beautiful house had everything you need and Steven was a really good host, super friendly.
We flew into LIR and the location of the home is about 2 hours away via rental car, we arrived a bit late because we couldn't find a phone to use locally to contact Steve, so we checked in way late and he was super accommodating. Met us even though it was way late and still had a smile on his face. The property was amazing, perfect for a couple that isn't afraid of a real jungle experience. You will need a 4x4 and have a strong heart for traveling on some undeveloped roads, we thought it was quite fun. The pool was more than we expected and the amenities were JUST AS DESCRIBED. I have been to Costa Rica a few times so I knew what to expect, but for those of you reading reviews and complaining about bugs - AGAIN, its the jungle. A/C on and ready in the bedroom, a SAFE room for your belongings, a map for all your needs - it was flawless! Steven was just a phone call away and happy to help with anything we needed.
Villa Linda is a lovely house that was perfect for our family. We felt very safe there.
The location was as described, but i definitely think we underestimated the state of the roads in the area - prepare for bumpy rides to the beach.
One other thing I'll mention is that the WIFI is only 3G, not broadband, in case that is something that matters to you.
Stevie was an excellent host, and it able to help you arrange tours in the area if you wish. On one occasion a lock at the house broke and Stevie promptly fixed it that day.
Steven was a fantastic host! He was extremely helpful with whatever we needed. He answered all calls within an hour and was very knowledgeable about the area, places to go, and where to find things. Steven offered great suggestions and went over and beyond! Thank you, Steven for helping to make our trip such a great one!
Genial, Steven es un excelente anfitrión y el ambiente acogedor, tranquilo, limpio y totalmente equipado hacen de tus vacaciones una gran experiencia. Sólo necesitas tu traje de baño para que empiece la diversión!!
The house is nice and the pool is fantastic. We spent a week with our 3 kids (7, 4 and 1) and the house was a nice base camp while exploring the various beaches up and down the coast.
Sure, the house could have been cleaner and as it is inside a nature community a few spiders and bugs might hang around the place, but overall we were very happy with the place.
I do recommend a 4x4 as the roads in the area is bumpy gravel roads. You have a lot of nice beaches in the area if you are willing to drive for ~30 minutes.
Steve who handles the place was very nice and helpful.
