We had a very comfortable stay with Issy. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The entire house was warm despite the outside temperature being far below freezing that weekend! We appreciated the breakfast and conversation every morning, and also felt we had the privacy to unwind in the room. Issy is a great host, and we will definitely stay with her again!
You have been a very interesting and people-loving host. Lucie and I enjoyed our room (Calico), your home, your breakfasts, our conversations with you, your nice bottle of wine, your other guests, Étienne and Stéphanie, your beautiful gardens and surroundings, the horses, the pond, the flowers everywhere...
Thanks for all this !
Beautiful home, exactly as described, in a serene and tranquil location with excellent access to the nearby town as well as to Mt. Abraham and Mt. Ellen. Issy is extremely thoughtful and considerate of her guests. Highly recommended.
Firefly is a mountain-view endowed hideaway in the Green Mountain foothills above the bustle of the Rt. 7 Champlain valley corridor below. Remote, but close enough to the art and culture of the valley...with Middlebury, Vergennes, Shelburne, and Burlington nearby. The accommodations were great, and we stayed in the Rustic Cabin, which was very cozy and private. Horses in the adjoining field welcomed us in the a.m. and Issy had a great selection of breads, coffee cake, granola, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice available...with more I'm sure if we could have handled it. As a host, Issy is full of great stories and tips about the area. We left charged up for a day exploring the broad Champlain valley below. Great experience.
