This was my second stay with the lovely Saral and Siti. I find the boat to be very relaxing. The captain suite is very spacious with a large ensuite, the bed is very comfortable.
The location is easily accessed by public transport and even late in the evening it was only a short wait for the sampans.
Highly recommended if you're looking for something a little different.
We live in crowded, downtown Hong Kong and had rented a room out on the Moksha for a weekend staycation. The Moksha is easily accessible by boarding one of the many sampan water taxis plying the waterways in the marina so getting there is a breeze.
Saral is a great host and extremely friendly. We had a lovely conversation with him our second evening on the boat. The Moksha is surprisingly comfortable with all the amenities and conveniences you would expect of a BnB, right down to an air conditioned bedroom, a comfortable bed and hot showers.
The Moksha is moored at the Aberdeen Marina Club. There are no restaurants in the vicinity (unless you count the Jumbo Floating Restaurant which is a short sampan ride away) so dine elsewhere before going back to the boat. Of course, if you ask nicely enough, you might be able to use the Moksha's very well-equipped kitchen.
Nearby is the Aberdeen Wholesale Fish Market, which makes for a great (but wet) morning stroll and delicious seafood lunch, the Deepwater and Repulse Bay beaches and quaint Stanley Village, all of which are great side trips.
I don't think I can describe just how pleasant it is to sit by the deck on the Moksha with your feet kicked up, a cold drink in your hand, while watching the world (boats) pass by you. Living out on a boat in picturesque Aberdeen can be quite addictive so don't be surprise if you leave wishing you had a houseboat to go home to every day.
Such a wonderful time we have spent in Moksha for a local Valentine's Day getaway! The boat was so fantastic, nice views and quite easily accessible with clear instructions given. Room was very clean and bright, nothing to complain about the facilities!
Siti was always there to take care of us, made us a lovely breakfast and helped us when we needed. Saral responded to messages efficiently and tried to arrange the suitable room for us. He was very welcoming and friendly, made us feel warm!
Make sure you are there for the sunset (sunrise is hard to say, we waited ardently but it was blocked by the hill- Saral suggested a route for walking up instead). Getting around with sampans (boat taxi) was a good fun. In short, a PERFECT holiday when it's sunny!!!! Even Hongkongers should get there for a sweet escape !
P.S. They have a lovely little bookshelf in the living room where they kindly offer you to take the book you like home with you, we've got a book that reminds us of this adorable trip. Thanks for everything!
Wonderful yacht and friendly and supportive hosts. Not far from oven park, jumbo, and lama island . Perfect introduction to Hong Kong beauty and diversity
It was great place for vacation. We never met Saral but Siti was a very helpful host. The bost was very easy to find although we arrived at midnight on the New Yeas Eve. Siti was still right there for us.
The bost was very clean, relaxing and comfortable. You can take a break at the front of the boat, have a cup of coffee and chat with your friend while watching the water, mountain and star.
There are two buses directly leading you to the city center where you can take the metro to wherever you want.
It was the best place I've ever stayed in HK these years. There is only one thing that the hot water stopped working while I was taking a shower the last night. As it was really late, we didnt ask for Siti to fix the problem...maybe just because someone else was using the water at same time...Hope it will not happen next time.
This is our 1st trip to Hong Kong...We had a wonderful experience to stay in Saral' (email hidden)anks to Saral and Siti

We live on the boat with our helper Siti and two funny cat Shiva and Apple. Saral is from India and Siti is from Indonesia and we enjoy to share living on the boat experience with the guest comes all around the world.
We enjoy the life on the boat and the peaceful life style make us feel great, if you want to try something different in Hong Kong, Moksha will be your good choice.
Our property agent said to us while we were looking to rent a property, "Careful, You can't live on Land after living on a boat". I thought being an agent he was trying to push a story but realized soon enough that he was right. We finally bought the boat to live on it forever.
Hong Kong is a great city but with very limited space, it makes it difficult to live if you come from open places. Having a 6 feet by 2 feet balcony in Hong-Kong means throwing millions more and a sea view is something only thousands of dollar/night can buy you.
You can check out the 5 rooms on the boats from the link below,
