About this listing
Private room in tidy, cozy home five minutes from Seattle boundary line. We (my son and I) are in Shoreline and our home borders a green belt, which means no neighbors in the back, just space. As there are 2 gas fireplaces within 20 feet of each other, the house is always warm. We are two blocks from a huge, wooded park. baseball fields, and a track, and three blocks from tennis courts. The Burke-Gilman Trail, famous for runners and folks on bikes, is minutes away by car. Unfortunately, the bus access is not great (a 15-minute walk), so walking is a necessity without a car.
We have rented a room - and the entire house, when we have been on vacation - out a lot, always with incredible luck. Likewise, I have stayed at numerous Air B&B listings, with the same amount of luck. My son (17) and I are very easy-going, friendly, and helpful. My son, like most teens with a car, is also out a lot, but I am great company! I can help you with what to do and see in Seattle.
Tidiness and cleanliness are a must, as is the ability to share a bathroom. Noise levels should be what they are for us: reasonable. You are free to eat with us, of course, when we are home, as we like guests.
About the Host, Toni
I am a tall (6'), educated, intelligent professional (high-school teacher) woman from Dutch heritage (100%). I am known to be quite outspoken, which is rare here in Seattle, so I welcome folks from elsewhere! But serious, I am very easy-going, friendly, and hospitable, as is my son, 17.
