Joaquin honored us as guests before we even got there. He stayed in great contact with us, and eager to learn who we were and share stories. The space is a wonderful walkout studio facing the back patio and sculpture garden. While "right at home" there was still plenty of privacy and quiet. It really is minutes from everything you would want for a thriving and enlivened stay, with perfectly wonderful and responsive hosts. Especially the times we shared a meal together at their table with good food and amiable company! The best!
Joaqin and Bob were wonderful hosts. They were very helpful to a new person visiting Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic. My husband had surgery at the clinic and I wanted a quiet home for myself while I was visiting him and then when he was recuperating. I enjoyed the walk to the clinic and when it rained or I was coming home late, Joaquin was kind to give me a ride. My husband and I enjoyed the restaurants near by and also we were close to the Art Museum and botanical gardens. The home and garden were lovely, neighborhood is exceptionally beautiful and I felt very safe. Thank you to Bob and Joaquin for making our trip to Cleveland a very positive and comforting visit. They are the best hosts! Dianne
This was my first visit to Cleveland and the apartment is perfectly located for visiting the city, especially the University Circle area. Everything about the apartment made it a real home from home. Joaquin and Bob were wonderful, friendly and helpful hosts, helping to make this a really memorable trip. Thanks!
Joaquin was fantastic and welcomed me right away. The room/apt is below the main house but very private and quiet. A small kitchen and full size refrigerator were there are well as utensils for cooking. There was a seating area, dining table and comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. There is a flat panel tv with full cable channels...that was a pretty nice feature a well. The outside area is likely very beautiful in the spring and summer time.....I was just a little early to enjoy that. Location is great and very close to a grocery store as well as coffee and night light spots. Convenient to downtown or Cleveland Clinic campus. Great stay! I would definitely return! Thank you!
Friendly hosts, nice neighborhood, clean accommodations. Would book again.
As listed this garden apt. is very spacious and has a few amenities you don't usually find in a hotel for this price such as a small kitchen with a few dishes and utensils, nice dining table, and large closet and dresser. The recently acquired queen bed with new fluffy pillows sleeps very well. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, and safe and it's conveniently located close to Cleveland Clinic, University circle, Little Italy and within a 15 minute drive to down town.
Our hosts were very gracious and made our stay very comfortable. They
provided a list of businesses including restaurants, grocery stores, museums, etc. and provided free Wi-Fi so we could navigate the area
better. They even put out some fresh flowers in a vase from their garden. They invited us up for a couple of meals. Unfortunately we could only accept their invitation once and we enjoyed a pleasant evening on their deck with a nicely prepared meal from their grill. Afterwards they then invited us into their well appointed home for an espresso and a nice visit. Joaquin and Bob are very likeable and affable and eager to make suggestions to make your stay pleasant. They invited us to use the sitting area in their serene garden or their deck at our convenience.
This apartment isn't the Ritz-Carlton but you wouldn't expect that for the
daily rate you are paying. It's a great place to stay for someone who is on a budget or needs to stay in this area or who may not need a vehicle. There are lot's of amenities within walking distance and a transit system nearby but since we had a rental car we didn't use it. The apartment could use a few minor upgrades and repairs but it's still very cozy. If we are in the Cleveland area we will try to stay here again.
Craig - it was a pleasure to welcome you to Cleveland. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our home. Thank you for your review. We will take your suggestions in to consideration your suggestions. Sorry for the late reply.
We hope our paths cross again soon - Bob and Joaquin
I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It's comfortable in every way. Joaquin and Bob are very gracious and considerate hosts. The garden view from the windows is serene and the general atmosphere of the house and the neighborhood couldn't be more pleasant. There are plenty walkable restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Can't imagine a nicer situation. :)
