Cozy bohemian apt for two, located 5 minutes walking from Campo de'Fiori and Vatican. This means you'll have the chance to dive in the city, walking across centuries and experiencing a 100% of its powerful atmosphere. You'll only need to open the door!
My apartment is 20 m2, it has a very big double day bed, a small kitchen (microwave oven, fridge), and a confortable bathroom with a bathtub. I don't have a/c: the apt is naturally cool since it's located in a very ancient building.
It's located in the most prestigious area of the city. You'll have the chance of reaching every single corner of the city simply walking, looking around and discovering how this city can be much more than you fancied about.
Now, I'm sure you'll be in Rome to visit every corner of its streets and squares (and shops!), so let me write a few words on its location. please take some time to look at my neighbourhood: you'll discover via Giulia, with its Renaissance buildings covered with ivy.
Distances from home: Three minutes walking to reach campo de'Fiori, Farnesina, 1 min to reach via Giulia. If you want to go to Spanish steps you can choose to have a 15 min walk or pick a bus, 2 stops, and walk 5 min. Colosseum is reachable at best with a bus, 3 stops (max 10min) , 2 stops (or a lovely walk) for spanish steps!
Vatican is in the other side of the bridge, so a couple of bus stops/good walk to St. Peter!
Talking about food, you can have a good breakfast at the bar just out of the door, or have a walk and choose a bakery around. You'll love 'il goccetto' a winery 200 meters close with a wide selection, Sergio's if you want a proper roman traditional dinner (in front of the bar, no joke, everything is close and socially overwhelming!) or choose the locanda un'altra storia: Sonia, the owner, will host you in a beautiful garden and help you discovering italian cooking. Pasta, gnocchi, meat and fresh fish courses, special dishes for vegetarian/vegan.
I hope you'll enjoy living in my home, ad much as the atmosphere that surrounds it.
Write me, i'll answer asap!
Carlotta was a great host! The apartment was very clean and quiet and its location is really perfect to discover Roma by walk. The place is tiny but cosy and is perfect if you spend most of your time outside. Carlotta was available in case of any need. We definitely recommend it!
We loved staying at Carlotta's. She was very friendly when we met her and offered advice on the city.
It was very easy to get to from the train station by bus.... only 15 mins and simple and 20 mins walk from Vatican museum.
It is in a great location Lovely restaurants in the area and just across river from Trastevere which is a nice area for bars/restaurants.
Small but all you need for a few days.
We didn't want to leave the cosy bolthole!
We would highly recommend this place for a short stay and will definitely return!
We had a wonderful time in Rom!
Carlottas apartment is in a great location. Downtown Rom and close to the Campo de fiori which is a wonderful place.
The apartment is in a small street right next to a bar, but it wasn't to loud at night.
The apartment is small, really small. But it was perfect for us because we stayed for 2 nights only. It has everything: a small kitchen, small bath but a big bed which was really comfortable.
Carlotta was at work when we arrived but her friend gave us the key and showed us the apartment. She was friendly and we didn't wait long for her. Carlotta prepared some cookies and wine for us which was really sweet. She also send us an e-mail with great tips of restaurants and more.
The apartment is small but has his own style which it makes it really special. It was clean and already prepared with bed sheets and fresh towels. It is easy to find and good to reach by bus from the main station.
We really recommend this apartment! See you next time Carlotta :)
P.S. For everybody: rent Scooter in Rom! It is awesome (rental is also close to Carlottas Apartment ;-) )
Carlotta is a great host!
Her apartment is located in a great place, a short walking distance from all the attractions in Rome.
Prior to our arrival, we were given many great tips and all of our questions were answered.
Carlotta greeted us with a very warm welcome and made us feel at home right from the start.
Very much recommended!!
Thanks Carlotta :-)
The place matches the pictures. It's in a great part of town. Very clean. Carlotta was very friendly, she even had a bottle of wine and some cookies for us when we arrived! We asked her a bunch of questions about the neighborhood and she was very helpful. The place is small but it's great for 1 or 2 people who don't plan to be in the apartment very much. I was a little nervous about the couch bed but it was actually quite comfortable for a pull-out. The bathroom is super tiny and was a bit difficult for my husband to maneuver in, especially how close the wall is to the toilet, but we spent very little time in the apartment and the small bathroom was a great trade-off for the prime location and cheaper price. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and plan to bop around Rome most of the day - this is a great place to rent!
Very nicely located small appartement, with neat, cosy and efficient interior. We, a young couple, stayed here for 2 nights We had a very nice welcome by Carlotta (including wine and cookies) who took time to give us some tips on restaurants. She was also available if we needed some help. If location is more important to you than a spacious appartement (which is mostly the case during a city trip), we would definitely recommed this place!!
From the moment of our arrival to our departure, Carlotta made sure that we were well cared for. She left notes all over the apartment so that we would not be too disoriented and gave us plenty of information to get around, and taste. Be sure to ask for Carlotta's Top gelatto place! It was really nice to share with her a lunch at Sonia's restaurant (located just around the corner), the pasta with Oxtail was delicious and was a hit to start our Roman trip!
The apartment was clean and tidy, towels were readily available. It is just as advertised, has a very beautiful charm, its cozy and fits perfectly a couple even with 3 luggages. The microwave allowed us for quick oatmeal breakfast before our day trips, we did not cook supper but the stove is available.
This is an easy sell, her apartment is only a couple minutes walk from the Vatican and Pantheon, we actually walked almost everywhere from there in Rome, to the Coliseum and all the the way to the Spanish Steps. There is a bus stop nearby, line 64, that will take you directly from and to the Roma Termini train station. At night, the location is quiet and provided sound sleep.
Thank you Carlotta for being such a warm loving host, I have no doubts that your house will host many other satisfied AirBnB users! And please send our thanks to Sonia whose smile and graciousness broke all language barriers.

L'appartement de Carlotta est très bien situé dans Rome c'est idéal pour un séjour à deux. Carlotta nous a mis tout à disposition serviette, drap, petit gâteau et du vin italien. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié son acceuil.
We stayed in Carlottas lovely apartment in September 2013 for 1 week. Once we had booked the apartment Carlotta sent us a message with information on finding the apartment. On the day of arrival we found the apartment with ease and Carlotta was there waiting for us. She took some time to show us around the streets nearby the apartment and point out where we could get buses etc (this apartment is in an ideal location - we walked almost everywhere but the bus service is really good). When Carlotta gave us the keys for the apartment she told us everything we needed to know about staying there. Carlotta emailed us with tips on the best restaurants to try, information about tourist attractions and public transport - this was very helpful. She also was happy to offer help/advice throughout our visit.
The apartment is situated in a lovely area of the city. There are shops/cafes on your doorstep. The apartment is ideal for 2 people, it is compact and cosy. It is very clean and had everything that we needed. We only used the kitchen for breakfast. Although the apartment does not have air con, this was not a problem as the apartment is very cool and you could open windows. The bed was very comfy. We did not have room in our suitcases to take a hair dryer, Carlotta kindly left one for us in the apartment.
On our last day, we checked out at 10:30am but we still wanted to spend the day in the city. Carlotta arranged for us to leave our suitcases at the restaurant that backs on to the apartment. Unfortunately we accidentally left our iPad at the apartment - Carlotta was very helpful in locating the iPad and sent it back to the UK for us.
We had a great time in Rome and we would recommend staying in Carlotta's apartment :)
