Love Alexia's flat so much! It's hidden in an old fashioned quiet local neighborhood but 7 mins walking distance from Jing'an Temple. The household is a really nice&lovely French couple. I will not hesitate to recommend this flat to all of my friends!
Great stay at Alexia's ! Very convenient location & a so charming colonial place. Plus, Alexia & Lucas are very welcoming and will be able to guide you if you need any advice to stay/visit Shanghaï !! :) +++
I've stayed at 4 AirBnBs in Shanghai and Alexia's is by far my favorite. The apartment (it's really a studio apartment rather than a room) is very cozy and nicely tucked away from the traffic. The walls are pretty thin so you'll be hearing plenty of sounds of life from around you but at least the Shanghainese plague of traffic noise won't bother you here. Alexia is a super nice and attentive host and her cat is delightfully insane. Five thumbs up!
Alexia and Luke were extremely responsive, giving us very detailed direction of their apartment and how to get there. The location of the apartment is great, walking distance to the city centre and lots of restaurants nearby. However, I was a little disappointed when I get there. The room is located on the second floor of an old building and there is no light in the corridor, so a little difficult to walk up at night. The room is not as big or as bright as described in the listing, and there are details that can be improved. Interestingly enough, wifi is the best in the toilet :-) That said, Luke is helpful. All in all, if you've never been to Shanghai and want to have a taste of what it is like living like a local, the place is worth a stay.
Thank you for your comment! We try to do our best for our guests.
The room is in a Lane House yes...not a big building and this is reason why we really like it :)
Sometimes is less sunny, depends on weather.
We hope that you had a great time with your grand-ma anyway.
See you soon,
Lucas & Alexia
I spent such a wonderful time at Alexia's place, the bedroom is so spacious and everything looks adorable. What touches me the most is Alexia prepared everything for guests - even Chanel makeups! I feel so bad that I had a packed schedule in Shanghai, so I didn't get to meet Alexia in person. Next time ;)
Alexia's room is delightful - decorated with taste, beautiful and super functional at the same time (the weather is really cold atm but the heater kept the room nice and warm). Internet worked well too which was definitely a plus for me. Additionally the location is so central, it's very convenient and from there you can get anywhere quite easily, either by taxi or metro - very easy. Alexia and Lucas are great hosts, been in touch, providing great tips and advice and super responsive whilst very discreete and leaving you your privacy! The only slight minor point is that walls are quite thin. But then again once in Shanghai you probably won't spend much time in anyway! Would definitely come back!
Welcome in Shanghai!
